TV commentary:
TWD- Kinda backed the wrong horse there! So the Saviors set off to attack the hilltop, but Rick goes off book and rams Negan (who's driving alone) car out of the convoy, separating him from the rest of them. Rick chases him down into a building, gets a hold of Lucille and burns it, leaving Negan surrounded by zombies instead of finishing him off. Somehow, Negan gets knocked out and wakes up in Jadis' car, being held at gunpoint.
Anyways, while this is going on, Simon sees his moment and tells the others, "Oh, me and Dwight are gonna try and find Negan!" but really, he just wants to get Dwight to back his plan to just abandon Negan. They find the wreckage of Negan and Rick's cars, and Simon convinces Dwight to just they didn't see Negan's body, but there was a lot of blood. So he could be dead, or he could be out there, but he's tough, and he would want them to go on and win.
And so they go back, and Simon was all, "Yeah, let's go to the Hilltop... and slaughter every last one of them!" and you can see this is not what Dwight agreed to at all.
Other stuff, they introduce a random non-comic character, Georgie, who wants to trade in knowledge for old records (but not spoken word!). Enid wants to just rob them, because she's become very cynical after Carl's death, whereas Michonne says this is what Carl wanted, to trade in peace and stuff. Maggie goes with the latter, and at first she's about to regret it when Georgie is all, "I'm going to change the terms of the agreement..." But the change is, "Here, have a bunch of my food! Also, here's some instructions on medieval technology so you can have windmills and irrigation and stuff!" So Maggie made the right choice! Good thing Rick was off on his mission of vengeance, because he prolly would've just robbed them like Enid wanted, because he seems hell bent on shitting all over his son's wishes.
Legends of Tomorrow- Sweet start, bittersweet ending! So Ava's apparently sleeping in Sara's bed and they're saying they're girlfriends now and its all cute. I also like how Sara mentions sleeping with John and its not a big deal because 1) it was before they were dating and 2) Ava accepts Sara's bisexuality and they didn't turn this into a stupid thing where they have problems because the lesbian doesn't trust the bisexual. I mean, Ava is a little jealous, but in a funny way, not a drama-causing way.
But then Sara gets taken over by the Death Totem (wherein we find out the 6th tribe was stricken from the records because they sided with Mallus) and Mallus, and she proceeds to put the ship on lockdown and use psychic illusions with emotional impact and her assassin training to take out the legends one by one.
Ava goes to Constantine for help, and Gary of all people gives Constantine a good idea- instead of trying to scry for Sara and Mallus, which wasn't working, he could just do a locate object on the death totem. So they arrive just in time as Amaya got Rory to bond with the fire totem and knock Sara out temporarily. And Ava manages to call Sara back to reality.
Unfortunately, the ordeal has Sara all shook, so she breaks up all, "I'm a killer not deserving of your love, you should be with someone who's not a monster!" and a bunch of people on tumblr are freaking out, but c'mon, this is just a bump in the road! Sara will come to her senses. Indeed, she finds a note in the bed under Ava's pillow that says "this side reserved for the girlfriend of Sara Lance" and Sara looks determined to do... something.
Also interesting, when Sara was trapped in her mind, with Nora trying to coax her into the dark side, she sees a memory of her killing a guy in front of his daughter. Now who is this girl? I mean, she kinda looks like a young Zari, and if this was a flashback to her time in the League of Assassins, Zari would be the right age now since they plucked her from 2042. I'm guessing this isn't a random flashback and it means something. It might not be Zari, because you'd think she'd remember it being Sara who killed her father.
