TV commentary:

The Magicians- Damn, can't these guys ever catch a break? So luckily, Quentin, Poppy, Eliot and Margo get back in time to find Alice. Margo hides the eggs in the house, telling Todd to not let Frey find them, and she and Eliot go back to Fillory to negotiate with the Fairie Queen Bitch. Give the tub to the people so they can all see her and her kind, that they're behind all the trouble, or Margo will make some Fae omelets.

Unfortunately, Frey does find the eggs (you had one job Todd) and tells the Queen, so she makes a counteroffer, give her back her kids and she won't kill theirs. Now, seeing Fen and Eliot jump to her defense, despite the fact that she just betrayed them and called them duplicitous, Frey rethinks her alliances. She quickly reveals she isn't their daughter before the Fairy Queen can silence her. And so FQ is reluctantly forced to capitulate.

Now, its really sad for Fen and Eliot. Fen admits she knew something was off, but she hoped that if she just believed hard enough, they could be a family. Anyways, later, the FQ takes Eliot and Margo on a carriage ride, where she admits defeat. But, it doesn't matter that the people can see the Faeries now. The damage is done, the people still equate all the craziness with the "Children of Earth", and she's led them to a lynch mob, saying she can no longer protect them before teleporting away. So the ep ends with them being dragged off. Of course, the previews reveal they somehow get away, but its still bullshit that Margo is still getting effed over.

Back to Alice. Dean Fogg is out of fucks to give, he's just drunk and telling them how it is as they try to figure out how to stop Alice from rejecting Julia's magic. Eventually, they figure out this magic is gonna kill Alice, so they need to put it back into Julia. But they need magic to perform the transfer spell (since Alice doesn't want to give it up) So Julia and Dean Fogg (who's very catty about her buying the school, even though she says better her than someone else) go to Irene Mcallister for help. Needless to say, she's kinda pissed they lied to her, but Julia manages to convince Irene to help. She gives Julia magical coke (heh, made from the secretions of a "magical creature", which many viewers suspect is a Faerie), to temporarily give Julia magic to do the spell.

But she has to find Alice first. Alice had bumped into Professor Lipson, who revealed that magical creatures get to keep their magic in this current world. So Alice gets the bright idea to find a vampire to turn her. But luckily Julia finds her in time (heh, the vamp takes off, not wanting to mess with "Hedge Witch Buffy") However, they get into a quick magical fight, which ends with Alice almost killing Julia. And so Alice realizes she shouldn't have this magic and does the transfer spell while Julia's recuperating. They end up bonding, all, I get what Q saw in you, and it looks like Julia has come to accept her powers.

Onto the last subplot, which will prolly cause a huge mess in later eps. So Poppy tells them there's a dragon in the library. So they come up with a plan to get Penny to become a book to get eaten and taken to the underworld to find Benedict and the key. But Penny is all, he can't really affect anything, so they'll need another Traveller to take them there to actually get the key back. Poppy is all, "I know someone!"

That someone is Vanessa, who hates Poppy for effing Josh while they were still dating. Vanessa is grateful to Penny for rescuing her, but she's too mad at Poppy. Besides, she and some other mages have a plan going to rob the Library, so she's busy with that. Those other mages are led by Harriet, who's not a big fan of Penny. So, the gang figures out that now they need Kady to convince Harriet to convince Vanessa. Too bad Kady is stuck in a mental institution.

Penny, Q, and Poppy (who's proving to be fun and useful) manage to break Kady out. Unfortunately, the only way she's able to convince Harriet to get Vanessa to help is to volunteer Quentin and Poppy for the Library heist. Which given this shows track record, seems like, sure whatever, let's do this if it will get us what we want, only for it to somehow tie into some other freaking thing that ends up biting them in the ass.
