Jul. 21st, 2003 07:33 amJust another weekend. Jason and Allison's wedding was Saturday afternoon. 'twas a great affair. Everyone kept on talking about how happy they both looked that day. Which they did. And its the first wedding ceremony I've been to where I didn't have to do anything or have any responsibilities! There were lots of cuties at the reception, but most of them were married/engaged/had a bf. Actually, there was this really hot chick (who krug said looked kinda like Andie from DC) who was unattached, but alas I was too slow and she left early. There was an open bar, but all they had was wine and beer. Which was a good thing! That way, I stayed dry! I'm sure some of you know my track record with drinking and fancy parties.
Anyways, we left early and I saw 28 Days Later with Chris. It was a pretty cool movie. Although if I was in such a world the first thing I'd want my hands on was a gun and lots of ammo. The things here are much scarier though because they're fast movers, they're not your slow-ass Night of the Living Dead zombies. Heh, ribbed Chris on the way back, asking him why he didn't +1 sis to this wedding shindig, then they could have done stuff like danced and other normal couple stuff! But alas, she was hanging with the parentals that night. Owel, went home, and the guys were pokering it as usual. So I threw in DW4, got Cao Ren's 10th. Hey, just one character left and I'll have maxed out everyone and can finally quit this months-long addiction.
Saw Bad Boys 2 Sunday afternoon. Talk about a gratuitous movie. Not that I'm complaining, I like LCD and the ultra-violence. It was a little too long (2 1/2 hours!) and it seemed like there was stuff they could cut, but it seemed like they didn't want to compromise on the comedy or action. Its like, you'd have an insane action sequence, then some comedy routine. But there were some pretty hysterical parts. And it was very LCD. They'd pan through beaches and clubs, showing scantily clad hotties in bikinis or raver-schoolgirl outfits. Everyone had the fancy sports cars or muscle cars, Will Smith was kicking it John Woo style, and of course, big explosions, and lots of them. And every bad guy died a grisly death. It was a little ridiculous. If you like that sort of thing, you'd enjoy the movie.
Went to church, St. Charle's Deli for dinner, then watched the tele, Lucky Seven on ABC Family (yes, I am such a candy-ass) and the Dead Zone. Strange ep, very ground-hog day-ish, it was odd for his visions to work that way.
