Dirk Gently- Hey, he figured it out! So the Brotzmanns, Rowdy-3, and Dirk are reunited, and he pieces together everything. Arnold having a brother with reality warping powers, who's currently residing in a coma in Blackwing. How the Mona who Waztiki told Amanda could help was also in Blackwing, shifting shape and helping Dirk out. So Dirk is all, "The solution is in Blackwing!" Now they just need to figure how to get back there.
Also interesting, Dirk doesn't say Wendimoor is just that guy's dream, he tells them it was like a big bang. That he breathed their world into existence, thus intimating that they are independent of him.
Back in the real world, Friedkins better watch his back, because Ken is doing a way better job running Blackwing then he is. Indeed, even Priest would rather defer to Ken. Also, amusingly enough, Priest is so bad-ass he manages to catch the Purple People Eater off-screen. But yeah Ken manages to figure out Mona's whole deal.
And the Mage manages to capture Farah and Tina.
Walking Dead- I think people are being too hard on Eugene! Man, the fandom is pissed at him for going full Savior. But honestly, that's Daryl and Tara's fault. I mean, Eugene had already hitched his ride to the Saviors. But at the same time, despite his claims that the others were just "traveling companions", I think he was doing his best to support the Saviors without thinking too much about actively doing something against "KAH".
Then freaking Daryl, Tara, and Morgan do their cockamamie plan to "end things" by driving the truck into the Sanctuary, enraging Eugene and burning away any hint of loyalty to his old companions. I mean, while he joined the Saviors, he did respect Rick's group as people who valued life. As Dwight said, they just wanted to take down Negan and keep the workers safe.
But then the truck came crashing in and the zombies started slaughtering everyone, and then that all seemed like bullshit. And Rick managed to just get the Junkyard people back on his side. (which is dumb, because either he's dumb for trusting them yet again, or they're dumb for taking his deal) He shows up at the Sanctuary with them, only to see the walkers gone and his snipers dead.
He had a plan going and Daryl, Tara, and Morgan effed it up. Its annoying, because they just had to be patient, but instead they were looking for revenge. Like Michonne even told Daryl it wasn't worth risking their lives over. And she phrased it wrong, because he's willing to sacrifice himself on this plan if it will win. But what she should've said was, it was risking everyone, not just him.
In any case, this all seems like bullshit to extend the war for another season. Stop meandering!
Supergirls- Heh, I'm sure tumblr is all pissed about things. I mean, Kara moping over Mon El and Lena and Jimmy making out. In any case, Reign ends up kicking Supergirl's ass. The ep ends with Ruby seeing someone, possibly her mom, standing ominously at the window by the Christmas tree looking away from her, and then turning towards her with the screen going black before we see her face.
It would be pretty hilarious if that's nothing, like we come back after the break and its just Sam being all, "Oh, hey, Merry Christmas!"
The Gifted- Dang it, that was totally disappointing! I wanted to see Andy and Lauren demonstrate their power! But they end up not using it because they might kill a bunch of innocents (and themselves). So they, Blink, and Dreamer are captured by Jace and Sentinel Services.
Do the rest of the gang know about the kids' power? Like when Esme said they could use them to take out the power station, did she just mean with their normal powers, or do they know they're like a walking nuke?
Interesting though, Esme's totally manipulating people in order to get them to try and rescue her family. Presumably its the rest of the Stepford Cuckoos?
