Sep. 11th, 2017 11:16 amHere at work, even though campus is closed, because I am designated personnel. I get comp time for being here, but what the hell am I supposed to do with that, I already have 9 weeks of vacation and 4 weeks of sick stored up.
TV commentary:
Bojack Horseman- This season was heavier than last. Not that it didn't still bring the funny. I am slow on the jokes sometimes. Like the whole Sir-Mix-A-Lot not lying thing. I was thinking, that's a weird character trait to give him. I totally missed they were parsing the lyrics as "he likes big butts" and "he cannot lie".
Teen Wolf- Some interesting stuff this ep. Heh, apparently Jackson and Ethan became a couple off screen. They do make a nice couple.
Monroe takes the sheriff's department from Stillinski since he cares more about "them" than humans. Like he tries to convince her that Gerard cannot be trusted, how he'll kill just about anyone for his own ends. Which Monroe is all, "See, he's willing to do anything to win! That mean's he'll be the winner" as a justification to stay on his side. Moron, can't wait for her to get her comeuppance.
It turns out both of Scott's parents, Mason, and Lydia got hit by bullets. But they all pull through. And Melissa tells Scott to fight, not run.
The gang is getting somewhere though. Between a vision Lydia has, and Liam and Theo's head busting investigation, they figure out the fear demon is partly in Aaron, who is looking for its other half to recombine with, which seems to be a werewolf. The spider thing is a test- Aaron was getting that Gabe guy to test for werewolves, and when they find them, fear thing releases the spiders to infest it. If its his other half, he's reunited. But if not, the spiders just kill whoever they infested.
Anyways, Scott's looking for recruits. Like Deucalion and Peter. Deucalion has gone all pacifist and won't fight. Because he doesn't want to go back to who he needs to be in order to beat Gerard and his people. Peter thinks he can just run. Malia plunges his claws into herself to show him the fear demon and show him how dangerous it is.
But it doesn't seem enough to convince him, until Gerard's men blow up two of his Shelby 1000s. He claims he's doing it out of annoyance, but Malia gets the real reason why he's joining up out of him. The fear demon is not all he saw when he looked in Malia's mind. He sees his daughter has fallen for Scott. And so now he has to keep Scott alive for her. Now, I know it seems like Scalia came out of left field, but I like it. And the whole thing with her dad joining the fight because she's in love and he has to protect her now is sweet and cute.
