TV commentary:

Killjoys- Wait, what?! So Dutch is a memory of Aneela's younger self that she was somehow able to make real through the green? You'd think Dutch would have a more existential crisis about that!

Interesting though, we find out how Dutch and Johnny first met. She was escaping her wedding night, and he was stealing Lucy, who was apparently a honeymoon present for Dutch.

Dark Matter- Heh, if they didn't have enough to deal with! So, there's their clones from an alternate universe, the corporate war, Ryo and Zairon, the burgeoning android rebellion they don't even know about, and now aliens from another universe who want to devour their universe? They apparently built thousands more folks like Two, some of which have already infiltrated the various corps. Which I guess all this stuff could be connected.

As much as it sucks that Two could've been caught in the nuclear strike, the Mikkei guy made the right choice. Its like, if there's a facility with a portal to a hell universe, where spirits are coming out of to get ready to possess genetically enhanced, nanite containing superhumans, you prolly want to do what you can to wipe it out.

I call shenanigans though. Somehow Boone was there, managing to grab Two before the place got immolated?

Wynonna Earp- Whoops! But first, let me comment on how ridiculous some folks were being, thinking Nicole might actually die this ep. I mean, I get the LGBTQA community felt burned by 2016, so they don't trust. But given all they've seen from Emily Andras and the cast on twitter and the cons, did they really think she would pull a Jroth and kill Nicole off for shock value?

I mean, far be it from me to say a character should live at the expense of the story. But they know where the bread is buttered. It would make no narrative sense for Nicole to bite it. And its not like surprisingly killing her off would have people think its some amazing piece of storytelling. There's a dozen shows out there trying to be all edgy where no one is safe. Its prosaic now.

And given the whole deal with Nicole wearing the bullet proof vest last season to thumb their nose at the BYG trope, did people think the show would shit on that and kill her this season? They know it would be the death knell of their show- its not like it has the best ratings, and alienating a vocal and sizable portion of their audience would do them any favors.

But I digress. So Waverly makes it Nicole's just in time to help her against fake-Mercedes. Only in the struggle, Nicole gets bitten, and as we saw with Juan Carlo, her bite is lethal.

So Waverly is freaking out. We also meet Nicole's previously unheard of wife, a doctor, but they're not together anymore, so its not like Nicole was two timing her or something. Even the wife (they got married in Vegas) says she knows how much Nicole loves Waverly.

Fake Beth makes Waverly a deal- the third seal for the antidote. Waverly is desperate- she notices the Iron Witch Blacksmith lady's sister Greta, in the hospital and makes a deal with her instead. She casts a spell to "lead Waverly to the cure". It takes her to Ned's coffee cup, which is where he was hiding Doc's ring for Wynonna.

Now, Waverly didn't know what the third seal was before this point, hence not being able to make a deal with fake Beth even if she wanted to. But once she recognizes Doc's ring, she figures it out and trades it for a cure.

Too bad Wynonna had captured fake Mercedes while saving Nedly from her. She had attacked Nicole because her spell led her to the law. She assumed it was Nicole who would give her the seal, since she's dating Waverly. But, since Wynonna had given Doc's ring to Nedly, he was actually who the spell was pointing to. Luckily, he held out under torture and did not give it up.

So, the gang uses fake Mercedes to fabricate the cure, and rushes to the hospital to save her sister's love. Only to see Nicole fine. She eventually realizes what this means, that Waverly gave up the last seal. To be fair, Dolls actually gave the okay for Waverly to do this if she ever figured out what the third seal was.

Yes, it would unleash a super demon. But at least Nicole would be alive. And he's confident they could figure out how to beat him, and they'd have Nicole to help!

But heh, that's not even the most immediate threat by the end of the ep. Greta's payment for leading Waverly to the seal to trade for the cure is the wishing trophy from earlier in the season. She grabs it and starts casting. Doc tries to stop her, but is accidentally sent back to the well when he touches the trophy.

So what does the Iron Witch do? She makes Wynonna disappear. And now everyone, even Waverly, has forgotten who she is and don't even know she's missing!
