TV commentary:
Teen Wolf- So that's the final big bad? Fear? I guess the Wild Hunt was holding some sort of mysterious creature. And apparently that Hellhound from last ep is the one who built Eichen House, and put himself into stasis in case it got out.
And he gets killed by Tamora, who isn't actually all that nefarious- as Argent puts it, she's the most dangerous kinda hunter, a new one. I mean, basically, some terrible evil creature escapes, and though this hell hound guy followed the wrong lead and attacked Liam and Parrish, he was the one who knew what was going on. And he gets felled by some rando.
But yeah, she hunts Brett, and is almost killed by him when he turns the tables on her, but is saved by Gerard, who seeks to recruit her. Now, we don't know the nature of the big bad, but the general idea seems to be it's stirring up the "normals" into finally freaking out about all the supernatural stuff in Beacon Hills and doing something about it.
Like the one Eichen House doctor from last week basically killed all the people in the closed ward, and almost kills Parrish. And Theo, who has been basically on the run, sleeping in his car (how does he get gas for his massive truck), is attacked by a couple of hunters, who seemingly kill him, but I'm skeptical they'd off him like that.
And we don't even know if this is the same creature as those spiders. Which possibly eat a student and take his place.
Game of Thrones- Heh, I know the show is blase about that sort of thing, but still. I mean, its funny that the show has been pushing the Jon is Rhaegar's son, but they're also having Missandei and Dany share looks when Jon comes to talk all, "Ooh, look, its that cute guy!" and Davos being all, "Oh, I saw you looking at her good heart!" Its like they're starting to set up Jon and Dany even though they're aunt and nephew.
And hey, Arya's in Winterfell. So most of the surviving Starks are reunited. Heh, its kinda funny, Sansa must think her siblings have gone bonkers. First Bran is all, "I am the three eyed raven and acting all creepy!". Which I guess they've been trying to push that now that he is, he's above mortal affairs and attachments, hence the creepy convo with Sansa last time. I think they showcased how he's set himself apart from everyone else better this ep though, in the scene with Meera. She basically is asking him to give her a reason to stay. I mean, she's all, with undead zombies coming, she needs to be with her family. But I think she was hoping for some acknowledgment that he still needs her, or some kind words about all they've lost. And he's all, "Cool, seeya!"
And then you have Arya, who's all, "I have a list of people I'm going to kill!" and Sansa thinks she's being weird. But then she sees her spar with Brienne, and is all, "Holy crap, my sister is a scary bad-ass!" Also, she must feel kinda small compared to her siblings now. I mean, I dunno if she knows about Jon coming back from the dead, but she know he's seen some crazy stuff. Bran is some weirdo psychic, and Arya is this mysterious killer. I mean, Sansa is wiser than she was before, but her siblings all seem to have levelled up way higher than she has.
Littlefinger better watch out- Bran can see all, and he might figure out (or already even know!) all the nefarious things Littlefinger did against the Starks. And then tell Arya, who may just slit his throat with that dagger.
I wonder what the impact of Dany's attack will be? They made a point of saying the gold did make it to King's Landing. So what did she destroy? Food? How much of the Lannister army was taken out? Did Jamie and Bronn escape? What happened to the Tarlys? It was a pretty cool battle though. And confusing on who to root for. Like Dany needed that win, though it was cool to see Bronn score a blow.
