The Originals- Well, that was kinda anti-climactic! So Hollow Hope resurrects Dominic, they stomp around NOLA killing vamps and telling witches to join or die. And all it take to topple them is digging up Cami's collection of dark objects, having Marcel and Sofia show up pretending to pledge their loyalty, knocking her out with magic dust so they can slap the magic suppressing cuffs on her and stabbing Dominic. Then they trap all the followers in the church and burn them alive. Heh, they didn't even last past the first twenty minutes.
But that's only half the task. So Vincent figured out where to store the Hollow- split her spirit into 4 pieces like the original spell, but storing them in the only thing powerful enough to hold them and connected to Hope by blood. So, Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, and Kol. There's a catch though, they have to stay separate from Hope and each other. The end of "Always and Forever".
There's a little drama leading up to the spell since it takes a while for Kol to show up. If he doesn't show up, then Hayley has to take his place. But Freya doesn't want to separate Hope from her mother, so if Kol doesn't show up, she's going to transition and become a vampire herself. Even if it means losing her magic, and she worries if Keelin will accept her since vampires killed her family. But of course she would! But it doesn't end up having to come to that, because Kol finally shows up.
Vincent does the spell, which goes off without a hitch, but at this point its only the 40 minute mark, so I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. But it never does!
Freya stays in NOLA to continue to research some solution so her family can reunite. Rebekah is in NYC, and Marcel apparently broke up with Sofya and left NOLA to be with the Bekster. Kol is in San Francisco getting ready to propose to Davina.
Hayley took Hope to Alaric and Caroline's magic school. As for Elijah? He's in France, a piano player who dresses more casually. You see, his whole life was his vow. So, he has Vincent open his mind enough for Marcel to compel him to forget his vow. So I guess he just doesn't remember the rest of his family? Because Klaus shows up to see Elijah, who shows no recognition of him.
And that's where it ends! Like I expected some gotcha trick, for the other shoe to drop. But it never does. The Mikaelsons are all separated, but they seem to be moving on to happy lives. Like, wasn't this show renewed? I guess they filmed this presuming they wouldn't? I mean, I guess there is the lingering thread of them having to stay apart, but otherwise, this could serve as a series finale.
