TV commentary:
The Originals- Color me surprised! So Kol's treason is revealed when Marcel and the Bekster go to destroy a protective totem the Hollow created to protect herself. While he has Marcel and Rebekah trapped in a dark circle, he goes to see his niece to get her to cast the spell to unlink Davina and the Hollow. Klaus learns from his sister and his surrogate son that Kol betrayed them, and that he's at the compound with Hope.
So, he rushes there to confront him. Klaus is able to destroy the totem and about to dagger Kol when he says he did it for Davina, and how she changed him, and asks his brother what he would do if he had the chance to resurrect Cami? Klaus surprisingly spares his brother.
And just in time, as Hope manages to unlink Davina and Inadu right as Hayley and Freya manage to "kill" the Hollow. And so Davina not only got to see Josh but also gets to run off with Kol. Call me a sap, but I'm kinda glad that if they were going to send Kol and Davina off again, they're both alive somewhere.
But yeah, as I said, Hayley and Freya manage to seemingly kill Inadu, after she messed with their heads and made them see hostile visions of Jackson and Keelin. So they use the dagger they used to kill her resurrect Elijah.
So good news all around, right? Unfortunately, while Hope was successful in undoing the linking spell, perhaps it was Inadu's plan all along since she does a spell of her own at the same time and it seemed like she should've been able to a better job defending herself. Indeed, it looks like soon after the unlinking spell happened, the Hollow shows up to possess Hope.
Now, was this a back up plan? Like I said, it seems like she was counting on Hayley killing her. But was it her plan all along? That she purposely resurrected Davina to get Kol to betray his family, knowing he'd try to unlink the two the first chance he got, and expect 1) for the unlinking spell to work but 2) that the Mikaelsons was successfully destroy the totem?
I mean, I guess it all happened simultaneously, but theoretically it could have been a multi-step plan that just happened to happen all at once. Like if Kol unlinked Davina, he had no reason to be loyal to the Hollow anymore, and his family are still his family. So she may have predicted he would then destroy the totem, especially since she so conveniently left it in his hands. And then once that happened, she just need to wait for Hayley to kill her with the dagger Freya anointed with Hope's blood. Then from there she would head to Hope and try to possess her. It just happened all at once.
Other stuff, Rebekah and Marcel use the closeness to have it out. Feeling all betrayed by each other, but they obviously are still in love, and they end up kissing.
