TV commentary:

The Americans- That little POS! Its funny, because Elizabeth was all, "Oh, I wish we could take Tuan back with us to Russia!" and the little effer totally shit talks them in his report. It was amusing to see Elizabeth knock him down a few pegs though, saying how they're more experienced and running multiple operations and the people back home trust her and Phillip. And he's just some newbie nobody who's not going to make it unless he gets a partner to back him up.

And heh, Renee continues to pique Phillip's suspicions. I mean, her whole pipe burst in her apartment seems so text book to Phillip. The show is still keeping it up in the air whether she's working him or not. Of course, even if she's not a spy, she's still kinda shitty. Stan is all, "I hate my job, it makes me feel shitty, I think its ruining my life!" and instead of being all, "Oh, you should get out then!" she's all, "Stick it out, they need you!" So at best she wants him to stay at a job he hates because she likes the idea of dating some spyhunter. At worst, she is a spy trying to keep an asset in place.

I mean, it was one thing if he was saying he wanted to just quit his job outright, because that is definitely a huge life change. But he was just talking about changing departments! He's tired of doing what he does, doesn't want another Nina, someone else getting killed. But she's all, "Oh, you're such a good man, worried about people! But if you don't do it, who will!" Suspicious!!!

Heh, the "Goodbye Yellow Brick road" montage was sad for a number of reasons. Phillip looking all sad that Stan has replaced him with a new gf, but at the same time worried this chick is someone who's going to end up screwing him over. Elizabeth looking at their home, and all I can think is, man, is she in for a rude awakening when she gets back to Russia! I was a little worried for Paige walking back all alone, but it seems like she's gained some confidence being trained in combat by her mom.

But yeah, talk about the reason to stay coming from out of nowhere! I mean, we don't see Kimmy for like long periods of time. Apparently he still hangs out with her and her friends, being her... whatever the hell he is. Surrogate father? He drops the bomb he might leave, and she's pretty upset. Then he hears from the recordings that her dad just got promoted to the head of the Soviet division of the CIA.

Heh, he was going to toss the tape, because he knows what it would lead to, and he was right. Elizabeth can't let an opportunity like that go. Its funny, because she realizes how he is just over the whole spying thing. But she needs him to continue the Kimmy thing. So her compromise is he lives a normal life, running the travel agency, only working Kimmy, while she continues to do stuff on her own. At the same time though, she just told Tuan people in their business need a partner, someone to watch their back. So now she's going to go at it alone for Phillip's sanity. Not that its going to do anything for his sanity if she dies or gets caught!

But hey, hopefully that means Henry can go to that school now? I felt so sad for Henry, he was all excited to get into that school with his girl, and then Phillip shouts at him all, "T-S, you're not going!" I was just imagining over at Chris' (Kris?) house all sad that they can't be together. He better get to go!

Other stuff, oddly enough, no Oleg this week. But we do see Martha, and apparently Gabriel arranged for her to adopt a kid to make her happy. You know, I was thinking after the Soviet Union falls, maybe she could go back, but I realized she's still considered a traitor. So if she goes back to the US, she could face the death penalty!
