12 Monkeys- Heh, its weird that SyFy is basically burning all the eps over the weekend. Some new concepts this season. So the Army of Monkeys has vests that allow them to self-splinter. Which, Jones is all, "They're unstoppable!" Not necessarily, they just have to make sure they kill them before they can jump back in time and undo things.
But yeah, its a neat concept, where they'll go back in time to warn themselves, but its a sacrifice. The one from the future can't go on existing without creating a paradox. And so the vests allow the user to kill themselves, having served their purpose by undoing the past.
Lots of emotional moments here and there so far. Jennifer trying to get a message to the gang from the past telling them to grab her. The first go around, Jones and Cole are too busy with the mission. But with Magdalena (whom I totally thought was an older Olivia at first) undoing the timeline and sending Jones and Cole back to when they first splintered into Paris, Cole is kinder.
He lets Jennifer know they cared and were thinking about her as much as they were Cassie and Ramsey. Speaking of, poor Ramsey finally sees Sam. Unfortunately, while Olivia was getting Ramsey, the Army attacked her hideout, and Sam is mortally wounded. So Ramsey gets to talk to his son for only a few minutes before he dies and Ramsey loses him again.
Also, it got confusing at times, because I guess Cassie and the audience knew the witness was her and Cole's child, but its taking a while for everyone else to figure it out.
And there's a lot to keep up with with all the people with their own agendas. Like we know the Striking Woman split up from the Witness. But then you have this Mallick guy, who's ostensibly with the Witness, but seems to have his own agenda, what with secretly giving Cassie info and keeping Deacon alive.
