TV commentary:

Supergirl- Hmm, lots of returns this ep. Weird, I guess during the chaos of last ep, Rhea captured both Mon-El and Lena, and is forcing them to marry to "unite their peoples". The marriage is a sham though, only to legitimize things in the eyes of her people. Rhea already took some genetic material from both of them with which to make an heir to lead New Daxam.

The president gets on Air Force One to confront Rhea, and through sheer happenstance, Cat was around and hitched a ride. She tries to negotiate a truce between Rhea and the prez, but Rhea shoots Air Force One down. Supergirl saves Kat, and it turns out President Marsdin is an alien.

Now this is where things get messy. Marsdin is a refugee from a planet that was enslaved, that waited too long to fight back. And she's not doing that again. So she orders Alex, as acting head of the DEO (since Rhea dosed MM) to use the secret positron cannon on top of the roof of the DEO building to destroy Rhea's ship.

But, Mon El and Lena are still there! So, since Lillian showed up earlier wanting to team up to rescue her daughter, Kara (after some advice from Cat) takes her up on her offer to go to the ship to rescue her boyfriend and best friend. On their way up to the ship, Kara asks Lillian why she never outed her to Lena. And Lillian says its so things will blow up when Lena eventually does find out. Which Kara should tell Lena as soon as possible. I mean, at this point, who doesn't know she's Supergirl (which I still call shenanigans that Cat hasn't figured it out). Like random DEO agents know Kara's secret, surely her best friend deserves to know.

Anyways, Lena and Mon El actually manage to escape their captors just in time to run into Kara, Lilian, and Hank. Lillian of course betrays Kara and leaves her and Mon El behind. But Kara also knew Lillian would betray her, so she had Winn build a failsafe to take over Hank to open the portal again. But Kara tells Mon El to go, she wants to talk to Rhea and get her to surrender before she gets vaporized.

Since Kara is still on the ship trying to get Rhea to give up, Alex and Maggie stall firing, which proves unfortunate, as something destroys the cannon. What? Well, Rhea reveals her trump card. Somehow she's taken control of Clark!

Gotham- Why aren't they telling Lee? Keeping her in the dark seems more about creating drama than practicality. Like, is it to protect her? Which seems BS, because Harvey and Lucius know. She can take care of herself! Besides, I don't think her not knowing would protect her any more if the Court found out Jim betrayed them. So might as well let her know what's going on!

Also, are they saying Catherine only found out Jim betrayed the Court after seeing the open drawer? It wasn't when he was freaking talking aloud to Harvey outside Catherine's window, or when he stopped the attack and Firefly torched that one Talon?

We also find out what the weapon is- an aerosol-ized version of the Alice Tetch virus. A sample was taken from Barnes. But with Gordon's betrayal, she's sending him directly after Jim.

Looks like Selina was only in a coma, but she recovers, though if its because of those random cats, or because Ivy brought a bunch of healing plants to her hospital room, who knows? And she's ready to kill the Bruce clone!
