TV commentary:

OUAT- Season finale, shoulda been series finale. Not that I think the show is terrible and should end, but with the majority of the cast not coming back, and things wrapped up pretty succinctly, its kinda weird that they decided to do another season. To be fair, they did a decent job setting up the next season, but even then keeping that in there still works for a series finale.

So the new curse had shunted the Charmings, Hook, and Regina back to FTL, where eventually Zelena shows up telling them the other realms are disappearing. Which is also an excuse to have Aladdin and Jasmine show back up, Agrabah suffering the same fate as Oz and Arendelle. Anyways, the realms are getting consumed by nothingness because Emma has lost belief.

Back in Storybrooke, its a new curse where Black Fairy/Fiona is mayor, and the one who adopted Henry. Things played out the same way they did first season apparently, only Henry was just really sick from eating the bad pop tart, and Emma was institutionalized, thinking that the whole belief in the Fairy Tale stuff was a mental breakdown.

Also, Fiona kinda screwed over Rumpel by having Belle supposedly abandon him and Gideon to see the world without them. But really, she's an agoraphobe hiding out in her house.

But yeah, Henry and Gold remember everything, and while Emma does come close to disbelieving and killing everyone in FTL, she has a glimmer of hope at the last moment that saves the principal cast (but not before EQ, who had moved to FTL with Robin since her home realm still has people after her for killing Snow and Charming, sacrifices herself to hold the nothingess off).

So Rumpel kills his mom, but she unfortunately set one last command to Gideon, to kill Emma no matter what. So the gang reunites with Emma and Henry, and Regina realizes its a perfect trap- as Fiona told Gold, it wasn't her place to kill Emma. Darkness doesn't snuff out light, light does. So either Gideon kills her, destroying her light. Or she kills Gideon, darkening and effectively destroying her light as well.

In the end, she sacrifices herself and lets Gideon kill her, which causes him to turn back to a baby so Gold and Belle have a chance at raising him right again. And Henry revives Emma with true love's kiss.

And so everyone lives happily. EQ and Robin get married, but Regina gets... the dwarves to put "Queen" on the door of the Mayor's Office? Heh, that seems kinda unfair. But yeah, they're all one big happy family.

We get some future flashes to a guy and his daughter protecting a book, and Tiger Lily coming to the girl telling her to find her father after he disappears fighting some monster. We find out later, when the girl is in the real world, looking for her dad in Seattle, that her name is Lucy, and her father is.... grown up Henry!

So I think even if they weren't going to have a new season, that still would've worked, showing that stories are ongoing, and after Emma's story is done, the new generation has their own things to deal with. But interesting, is Lucy's mom not Violet? She looks mixed, and as far as I can tell, Violet is caucasian like Henry.
