TV commentary:

Better Call Saul- Ah, so that's what they were going for! Jimmy trots out Rebecca and has Huell plant a phone battery in Chuck's pocket to rattle Chuck, but not in the way you think. Chuck thinks this is another one of Jimmy's schemes, to make him look nuts, that his condition isn't real. And that's when he falls into Jimmy's trap.

Chuck goes into an angry tirade about how horrible Jimmy supposedly is, about how his brother doesn't deserve to practice law, etc. He carries on and on, until he realizes everyone is just staring at him in shock. Well, except for Jimmy and Kim, who I think are looking on more with pity, because even though he was a dick to them, they seem to feel kinda bad to have to resort to such a tactic.

We don't see how the hearing ends, but it seems the damage is done- Jimmy and Kim's strategy is not to make Chuck look incompetent or unfit, but to paint the picture of him having a vendetta against his brother. Which is true.

Of course, the funny thing is, Kim and Jimmy aren't exactly innocent in all this. They do say say some actual lies in this. Kim tells Mesa Verde about the trial, but she lies and says Chuck "thinks" his brother switched out the files with the transposed numbers. Which only disgusts Mesa Verde, as they express disappointment at someone who won't own up to his mistakes.

And then during the hearing, Jimmy claims he just said what he said on the tape because he felt bad for his brother and was just trying to reassure him. Which is interesting, because I don't know the exact law here- now, Chuck was on the stand, so he definitely had to tell the truth. But since Jimmy said he only said that to make his brother not feel crazy while cross-examining him, and not on the stand, is he not guilty of perjury?

Supergirl- Well, that's not good! So Rhea's project with Lena was to build a gate in order to pull the surviving Daxamites to Earth in order to make it New Daxam. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

In their attempts to get the gate working, they (or at least Lena) end up messing with the heads of some telepathic/telekinetic aliens who uncontrollably lash out with their powers when the gate was powered on. Which, I kinda call shenanigans- so the mother was affected first, then the kid. But they pull the twist that when Winn and James go to help the mother and son, there's actually a whole bunch of refugees there that are too much for the machine they brought to protect them from the gate's energies.

Which, if there were that many aliens like that around, why weren't there more incidents?

But hey, Rhea isn't all bad, at least when she betrays Lena, she tells her that she really did enjoy their time working together, and that she wasn't lying when she told Lena she was brilliant and awesome.

She does lie to Mon El about his dad, saying he took his own life out of sadness over Mon El's decision.

Gotham- Heh, this show continues to be bonkers. So I guess they're going with the supernatural version of Catwoman? Clone Bruce pushes Selina to her death, but the ep ends with her being surrounded by cats.

I am intrigued with the burgeoning free for all in Gotham. So Barbara teams up with the Riddler to figure out who the Court is. They want to be top dogs, but they don't think they can do that if there's someone behind the scenes controlling everything. This does lead to conflict between Babs and Tabs.

But yeah, Jim secures his place among the Court by taking Riddler to see them. However, they do not kill Riddler, which Jim was afraid they'd do, because despite everything that's happened, he's not going to deliver up someone to be executed. No, they wouldn't waste a talent like Nygma, and there going to put him to use.

Meanwhile, Penguin and Ivy recruit Mr Freeze and Firefly. Since Bridget is someone who actually knew Ivy from before, they finally have someone else talk about how her transformation. Which, does Penguin even know Ivy was aged up?

Speaking of, I'm pleasantly surprised they haven't gone as creepy as I was expecting with her. I mean, she is basically a kid in an adult body, like Big or 13 Going on 30, and while it is a body that turns men's heads, they haven't done anything sexual with the situation. Like, the most they've had really is guys smell her perfume. She doesn't have to do anything seductive.
