geebsME:A blather- Okay, so I think I'm done with Voeld, I think I've done all the tasks. (Well, except for one, supposedly you're supposed to wait until right before the end game to do it, because it helps with something) There was actually one I hadn't triggered, it was to find some folks for the Angaran priestess (or as it turns out... their corpses, or I guess recordings they left behind). So did that. But yeah, there were three tasks, one that involved scanning some Angaran corpses, one that involved scanning for Angaran bugs, and one that involved scanning some Kett consoles.
The problem was, those all randomly showed up on the various random battle sites on Voeld. So it took a little while, but I finished all three.
I've been going through Peebee's secret mission to find the rem-tech on Eos and Havarl, did Jaal's loyalty mission on Havarl (which had a pre-req of protecting Eos from a Roekkar attack), and Liam's soccer game on Eos, so I think I'm fully done with those two planets as well. I even "fixed" a completed task on Eos. There's an early game mission where you scan some crates, and it seems like some wildlife got into it.
You can report the cargo as being eaten by bugs, but that's wrong. They were actually being stolen. I was wondering why there were random nav points on my map that didn't seem to be tied to anything. So I checked it out, and it led to unlocking the nav points for the other crates, which following and scanning led to some exiled scavengers. Now, because I had reported the crates as destroyed by animals, I couldn't actually track it as a normal mission, because it was marked as "completed" in my journal. It would also not show me the last check point to meet the scavengers because of this.
But, I looked up where they're supposed to be, went there and talked to them, then back to the terminal at Podromos to report them. So now its in my journal as correctly completed.
So with all those done, I'm working on Kadara, since I have a whole lot of side missions there.
TV commentary:
The Originals- So we find out what this Ouroboros deal is. So way back when, before the Mikaelsons showed back up in NOLA, Vincent was working on a way to free the witches from under Marcel's thumb. And it came to him in the form of a book, which seemed to be written in his own handwriting. Now, its obviously a very evil object, and he eventually realized it. But unfortunately this is what corrupted Eva (it was nice to see her back on the show, albeit in flashback form)
In any case, he thought the threat was gone, he did a ritual which he thought purged it from Eva, although she was left crazy, hence being thrown in the witch prison house.
But now its back, which brings Marcel and the Mikaelsons back together, because Vincent figures out it had tagged Hope, and despite the bad blood between Marcel and the Mikaelsons, he's not going to let what one of the others (I forget who) refers to as "his sorta sister" die. So it looks like they'll be working together to save Hope and the other children.
Of course, this leads to conflict between Freya and Keelin. The latter of whom doesn't heal, apparently. Because apparently she used science and medicine to suppress her werewolf later. But yeah, Freya wants to use her to make cure, just in case. Keelin obviously doesn't want to remain a prisoner. But they come up with a compromise! If Keelin was able to suppress her wolf side, maybe they can combines Freya's magic with Keelin's science to unpower Marcel and find a more permanent solution to him being able to kill them thing.
Other stuff, heh, because Rebekah and Kol aren't series regulars, they take off to St. Tropez, since they want nothing to do with NOLA now that Marcel and the Bekster are on the outs, and Kol is still sad about Davina.
Oh, and Kinney is possibly under the influence of this evil force? He ends up cutting the throat of the ambulance driver transporting the "infected" children, and driving them who knows where.
