geebsSo I unlocked all the costumes I could unlock in MKX without having to play people online. Which basically means I'm never going to get them. Currently working on the other unlocks. Most of which just involve playing characters a certain number of times. However, the other involve playing hourly and premier towers. Which involve an internet connection, but more importantly, require Netherrealm to keep the servers up. I mean, hopefully they'll stay up for a while, but the game is a couple of years old now and their new game Injustice 2 is coming out in a couple of months.
Its kinda annoying, because the premier tower refreshes on a WEEKLY basis, Monday night/Tuesday morning. There's a few dozen of them, because there's one for every character, and the first three games, as well as a lot of the major holidays. I already missed out on a couple because I just didn't play that mode the first couple of weeks I got it. And heh, depending on how the holidays fall, I might miss the Christmas or New Year one because I'd most likely be away from my PS4 during those times. Like its Tuesday to Monday, so in theory I should be able to do the Xmas one before leaving for NYC, and be able to do New Year's after I get back. But I guess it depends where they fall in the week and when the game decides to start them. But its not really that big a deal, because they just unlock stuff for your kombat kard when you beat them.
More troublesome are the hourly towers, because they unlock kustom kombat modifiers. Now, I don't mind missing out on aesthetic things, but at the very least I try to unlock everything in a game that affects gameplay. Otherwise I feel I'm missing out. Like not seeing a costume, whatever. But not playing something the developers programmed in feels like I haven't gotten my money's worth. I have 32 left to get, but its random which one shows up every hour. So basically, its a waiting thing, hoping they happen to show up during the hours I'm able to play. I've definitely started getting more repeats in a day than new ones at this point.
Also, I wish they were clearer with how certain modes, like test your might, worked. Heh when I first played ne, I was thinking, you have to press all four of the pad buttons simultaneously, then LT+RT? Thankfully, I quickly learned it was just EITHER LT or RT. But for a while, the mode seemed impossible, because at higher levels I couldn't press all four buttons simultaneously to focus might enough. But it turns out its not push all four buttons simultaneously, I guess its just pressed all of them a lot, not necessarily at the same exact moment. So once I learned you could just roll your thumb back and forth between square+x and triangle+O, the mode became infinitely easier.

Arrow- Ha, I didn't even realize that! I mean, the audience knew she was Talia Al Ghul, but it didn't occur to me that Ollie had no idea. Turns out, she was the one who trained Prometheus, because Ollie killed both their dads.
Also, I can't believe Team Arrow didn't see that coming. So, they grab Prometheus' wife, hope they could use her to strong arm him. But since he's a mission oriented psychopath with a thirst for revenge and didn't want her to see that part of him, he murders her himself!
The Expanse- Freakin' Belter trash! Like, I get the "Inners" screw them over and think they're nothing. But one, spacing a bunch of Ganymede refugees just because they happen to be from Earth or Mars is retarded. Some of these guys prolly have more in common with Belters than people from their own planet. And they're gonna get killed just because of where they come from?
Secondly, I was glad that 1) Drummer didn't die (or at least not yet) and 2) she put a bullet in the head of those dumb-ass belter guys who tried to steal the nukes. At least Dawes grabbing that one guy, he prolly has a more elaborate plan in mind. But these yahoos were just going to what, launch the nukes at Earth and hope one of them hits? And that will cause Earth or Mars to be all "We shouldn't mess with those belters!" rather than bringing the hammer down on them, which will also kill a bunch of randoms who wanted nothing to do with their nonsense?
Its like that guy Johnson rightfully spaced for trying to assassinate Chrisjen so openly and brazenly. They're like the worst. Belters have a reason to be pissed at the inners, but shit like that isn't going to help their case!
