So, did my taxes, and used some of that refund to get a new tv in my room so I could move the ps3 up there to make room for the ps4 in the living room. Anyways, warriors orochi 3 ultimate was the only ps3 game I could transfer over to the ps4, got the ps4 version and ported the save over. However, I wanted something else to play between now and when Mass Effect Andromeda.

Settled on Sniper Elite 4, because sniping, and you could set up some cool ambushes. Only got to try the range so far, but I like the system. You have a button to hold your breath to steady your shots for a short while, and the scope has settings for zoom and range compensation. On the harder levels you have to account for drop and windage, so its neat that the system is so in-depth.

Of course, I also soon learned that there was a "critic's choice" sale going for Plus members. The selection was 50% off. I was already thinking of Mortal Kombat XL and Street Fighter V even before the sail, so it just made sense to pick it up now while it was on sale. Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 year celebration was also on the list of discounted games, so I picked that up too.

TV commentary:

Flash- Ha, I totally missed that from the flash forward! So this while time when Barry was talking about seeing Wells on the roof, I thought he was talking about HR! But with Jessie showing up needing their help to find her dad and them talking about telling him not to cross over to avert yet another part of the vision, I realize it was her dad on the roof this whole time.

Anyways, Grodd captured Wells to lure Flash out, in order to get him to kill Solovar so Grodd could take control. He says Solovar is dangerous and wants to invade the human world, so Flash should take him out in the arena, then Grodd could take over. Flash beats Solovar, but refuses to kill him. Anyways, turns out Grodd was a liar, and he was the one who really wants to invade, Earth-1 Central City. They think their only solution is to have Cisco die so Grodd couldn't force him to open a breach.

Instead they fake Barry's death using Caitlin's powers to make him as cold as a corpse, claiming he died from an injury in the arena. For some reason, this causes Grodd to pull the corpse out of the cage (like what if he was just going to leave Barry's "corpse" in there?). So after Grodd leaves Flash wakes up and frees the others, and they manage to escape back to Earth, Harrison in toe. Grodd's pissed, but in the end we see he has somehow gotten Gypsy to help him open a breach to Earth. Presumably she got mind controlled?

Other stuff, Jessie and Wally have some tension, because Jessie thinks the cross-dimensional thing is getting to be too insurmountable. And now that Wally has powers she worries she'll fall by the wayside. So Wally asks her to stay, but Jessie doesn't want to leave Earth-2 and her dad. However, she gets advice from HR, who says she's just growing up. If she wants to stay on Earth-1 to be with her boyfriend, she's old enough. You have to leave the nest eventually. She can't stay home just because she doesn't want to let down her dad. So she resolves to move to Earth-1.

Legends of Tomorrow- Amusing ep. So we find out at some point before Rip was lost, he had teamed with the JSA to retrieve the Spear of Destiny and broke it into pieces split amongst the remaining members of the JSA. Rip kills Dr Mid-nite in the year 3000 to get one piece, and it turns out Stargirl is in Camelot, being Merlin.

Its a fun little diversion, with Merlin/Stargirl being in love with Arthur, and Sara Lance-"a-lot" kissing Guinevere. They capture Rip, but for some reason, they didn't think to revoke his computer access?! So now he's loose on the ship!

NCIS- Dark! So Ellie finally gets her revenge- we also find out Qasim had proposed and she was going to say yes. So Qasim was a lot more to her than some guy she was dating. Turns out Chen had made a deal with the CIA to get them off his back in exchange for info on some Syrian warlord providing help to terrorists. But Ellie knows its a bad deal because that guy is a nobody.

She figures out Chen's secret, he has a program that could cause diesel engines on the electrical grid to overload and explode. She beats the team to him, and handcuffs him to said type of generator, giving him two choices- stay to get murdered by the Syrians (since she called them and outed Chen as being a CIA informant) or activate the virus and blow himself up. He chooses the latter.

Ellie apparently gets no punishment for essentially engineering the death of a known terrorist. Ellie says she has no regrets and says Gibbs would have done the same thing (which given Gibbs murdered the guy who killed his wife and daughter), she's not wrong in telling Gibbs he can't hold the moral high ground. But he doesn't try to, he tells her she will feel guilty later.

Bones- Hey, I can at least appreciate that. The whole Brennan's father dying thing seems like extra drama for the final few eps. But I do appreciate they gave good reasoning for the temporary rift. Brennan doesn't blame Booth, its not his fault. But she just wants to grieve without having to worry about re-assuring Booth that she doesn't think he caused her father's death. Which is fair.
