TV commentary:

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- Crazy season finale! Thank goodness this was renewed! Josh leaves Rebecca at the altar! To become a priest! Its funny, because they are kinda similar, which is also the reason they should not be together. I mean, the show's deal is how she has some pretty big psychological issues she avoids addressing by pinning all her happiness on finding that perfect relationship.

Her scumbag father gave her huge abandonment issues. Like it was crushing to see her get him all these gifts and give him a check for his son's braces just to get him to stay when she was worried he was going to leave. And I think he realizes that and kinda milks it, which makes him a freaking piece of shit.

But I digress, she think Josh will magically solve all her problems. And the show has hinted at it before, but they outright say it in this ep, but Josh is aimless, has no idea what to do with his life. He's basically still a kid playing at being an adult. And so he finds girls who pay him the littlest bit of attention, Valencia, Rebecca, Coach girl and latches on to them. That this is where his life is supposed to lead. But it just ends up being a go nowhere relationship that inevitably falls apart and he moves onto the next pretty girl. This time though, Father Brah tells him that's kinda his thing, and unlike Rebecca and her therapist, Josh actually listens.

So to break the pattern, he goes to the priesthood. Which is unfortunate for him, because Rebecca is on the warpath.

The show does kinda take a dark turn for a minute, where it seems like Rebecca is about to commit suicide after Josh ducks out on their wedding. Like how all the men she loves abandon her- her father, Josh, even Greg, but we also find out about another guy, Robert.

Who is Robert? Turns out there's a huge event in the Bekster's past that we weren't privy to. Apparently she had an affair with one of her teachers at Harvard. He used her and dumped her, so she kinda went nuts and caused a fire that I guess burned his house down. So, he gets a restraining order out on her. Rebecca's mom still manages to save her from going to jail, and though this kicks her out of Harvard Law, she was still able to go to Yale law. But only if she sought mental help. And so we find out Rebecca was actually institutionalized for a while!

Anyways, so Rebecca doesn't kill herself, but with a little goading from Paula, she comes to the conclusion its not her fault those men left her, its them. Which, sort of. Her father's a dick. Josh is kinda an idiot, but to be fair, Greg had to leave. He had put his life on hold for his dad, and he had a chance to get away from his go-nowhere life for a chance at better things. Its just unfortunate that he and Rebecca met while he was in his rut. I mean, coming to the realization its not her fault is good, but she kinda went the other direction and blamed the guys.

Like I said though, her dad, definitely. But poor Josh is about to have hell rained down on him and he doesn't even know it. He was trying to do the right thing because he really shouldn't have married her, but now Rebecca is to blinded by rage. And another thing with this show, part of Rebecca's ongoing problems are due to having friends that are loyal, but are kinda enablers. I mean, it was appropriate that angry Rebecca who had her epiphany was flanked by Paula, Valencia, and Heather. Paula has always enabled the crazy. Valencia will prolly go along because she's no fan of Josh, And heh, Heather just wants to see the chaos.

It'll be interesting to see how this all turns out. Other things- Josh doesn't know the full story about Robert. Trent tried to give Josh the info to break up the wedding, but Josh didn't end up reading it and ended the wedding on his own. And there might be some rocky roads for Daryl and White Josh. During all this, White Josh admits he's not down with marriage, it just ends up in divorce and heartbreak. He even points out to Daryl that he himself got divorced.

Anyways, Daryl sees a sweet moment between White Josh and his daughter though. And he tells Josh, he's cool with never getting married, but now he wants to have a baby with Josh. And its clear from Josh's expression he's not ready for that!
