TV commentary:

Arrow- Too bad the commercials spoiled it! They basically telegraphed that the Laurel at the end of the last ep was really Black Siren. Though I'm pleasantly surprised they didn't drag it out. I'm curious though, was this just a quick appearance by Katie Cassidy, or will Ollie really be trying to rehabilitate Earth-2 Laurel to get some semblance of the old Laurel back?

In any case, this Prometheus knows a hell of a lot about Team Arrow, so I'm very curious how the hell the guy knows all this. I mean, its one thing to know Arrow's mundane cases. But in order for Black Siren's ruse to work, she had to know about the Legends, since her lie was that Sara saves her in the future but for some reason dumped her at this particular moment. So for her to know, Prometheus had to know. And he also had to know of the existence of Earth-2 Laurel to even begin this plan!

Frequency- Argh! Since the chances of this show being renewed are nil, I'm annoyed that things end like this. I mean, its sorta happy. But there's some major unresolved threads. So, in the aftermath of arresting Deacon Joe, Raimy's future is pretty good. Her mom is not only alive, but became a doctor. She's still engaged to Daniel. Satch's marriage is fixed because he didn't ruin it by being so stuck on the Nightingale murders since they were solved. And Gordo is a lawyer. But he still seems to have the wife and kids, and has the same sense of humor. So its not like its a bad thing, its the same Gordo, but I guess richer?

Frank is still dead though. Its weird he doesn't want to know the exact details of his death to try and stop it. I guess they actually table it. Like in the movie, he died of lung cancer in the timeline where the Nightingale killed his mom, so there's nothing you can really do about that. Well, stop smoking, which is what he did to be alive in the final timeline. But yeah, he's talking like he already got a second chance, so there's no need to get a third one. Which is silly, because since he dies after Raimy became a cop, I don't think it would mess up any cases. I guess its possible it could somehow cause her to not meet Daniel, so you never know. But he already knows that he dies in a car accident in 2011! Like he may not know how it happens, but of course its going to affect how he drives that year! Its in his head!

Anyways, as I said last week, nothing should change from this new time line, unless they do something to change it. Also, why does Deacon Joe look not that old in the previous timelines, but the one where he's in prison he's freaking balding and ancient? But I digress, sure enough, they do, though I don't think we get enough time in the ep for Raimy to realize its her fault.

She sees the red truck again when visiting her mom at the hospital. Its nothing nefarious though, its just Robbie visiting his sister, who's dying of cancer. Still, Raimy is suspicious, because the truck was following her in the previous timeline. And Meghan just happens to be Julie's patient. Raimy is worried its fate, time wanting to happen (which again is weird that she thinks that, because the original time line Julie is alive, time wanting to happen would be Frank in danger of dying), because that's too much of a coincidence.

Now, I guess there is a real threat to Julie. Robbie stopped because the Joe took the fall and Meghan I guess centered him. But now that she's dying, he's becoming unstable. And the fact that Julie is her doctor is a sign to him. His last potential victim showing back up in his life right as the one keeping him from killing is about to go away? But Raimy knows who he is, so should be able to protect Julie. There's no need to go mucking around in the past.

Actually, I guess Raimy doesn't figure it out until the timeline changes, but she might've gotten there eventually. But yeah, she's worried about that loose thread, so she tells her dad to pull on it. And so Frank goes to see Meghan and Robbie to talk to the later about testifying and checking to make sure there are no surprises that come out. Just to make sure the case is rock solid. The problem is, this spooks Robbie, so after Frank leaves, Robbie confesses to his sister he's the real killer. And of course Meghan's aghast, and Robbie ends up killing her.

Now before I go into this next part, I should go back to Stan. They try to make us sympathetic towards him by giving him a previous unseen sick father. But heh, Stan had figured out that Frank tried to murder Joe. Which instead of using that as blackmail, gives Stan a newfound respect for him, all "we're the same! We just want to rid the streets of bad guys by any means necessary!" Which didn't seem like what we've seen of Stan's deal previously. I mean, I guess he is into vigilante justice, but it also seemed like he was into making a buck. (Though again, they try to make us sympathize by having Stan do it to pay for his father's medical care)

So anyways, after Robbie kills his sister and does the ritual, he calls Frank saying he messed up. Frank goes to investigate, and finds Meghan's tied up corpse, and realizes he's the real Nightingale. And that he's prolly going after Julie next. Heh, since they randomly drop the fact that Stan lives only three blocks away from Frank earlier in the ep, he calls Stan for help. Like if the hatchet is really buried, Stan will go and protect Julie.

Too bad Miracella shows up wanting revenge for her brother and shoots Stan down in his driveway. Whoops! So Robbie shows up at the house and takes Julie, young Raimy and young Gordo at gunpoint. And he ends up shooting Gordo's dad twice in the chest, so I'm presuming he's dead now! Raimy calls at this time, having realized Robbie's the killer since 1) Julie forgot about Meghan mid conversation and 2) Satch is all, "The Nightingale was never caught, but they know its Robbie and he stopped after his sister!" Which isn't exactly how things played out, but whatever, we're in the final minutes so there's going to be holes.

She tells Robbie she'll get him and kill him, so he shoots the radio, and Raimy thinks its over. She sees the lights out in the house where previously she was having an engagement party, and fears the worst. But in the past, Frank gets there in time to see Julie get taken. And then Satch shows up and t-bone's Robbie's truck and Julie is saved. So when Raimy goes in, the lights are just out because the guests are watching a video. So it seems like everything is happy still. Only Robbie is outside, lurking!

Now, again, we only had a few minutes there at the end after Gordo's dad was shot, but if that affected Gordo, we don't see it. It still seems like he's his lawyer self since he's still wearing the tie.

And there's a lot of holes in that ending. Like Satch being all, "He stopped after his sister!" would only be said if Robbie disappeared after that. But he went after Julie. And again, at that point the timeline was set. Frank found out Robbie was the Nightingale on his own. And Raimy called after Robbie had already gone after Julie. So things were already destined to play out the way they did. So I would think Satch would be all, "Don't you remember, he freaking went after your mom and held you at gunpoint and killed your best friend's dad!"

But apparently Robbie didn't kill after that, because the case went cold and Satch apparently didn't pay it any more mind since his marriage was still okay in the end. However, why did he stop killing? In the previous timeline, Joe taking the blame and Meghan being around to center Robbie are what stopped him from killing again. I mean, I guess he got married and had a kid as well, but I guess that's all erased presumably. But yeah, if he escaped, why wouldn't he go back to killing other nurses or going after Julie? The factors that kept him from killing are gone.

I suppose there would be a big manhunt for him, and it would be too hot to go anywhere near Julie or NY again. But why would he start going after Julie again at the end after all these years? He was triggered in the previous timeline because his sister's oncologist happened to be Julie.

And we'll never know, since I doubt this show will get renewed. I don't think the ratings are hot, and unlike JtV or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, its not critically acclaimed.
