TV commentary:
Gotham- Surely, that's intentional? I mean, that one thug of Joker's from the Dark Knight being the leader of his acolytes in this? I guess it could be a coincidence, but maybe they took a page from the Arrowverse playback and started making inside references.
But heh, what was the point of Mario dropping the knife as he got shot if that didn't end up being an issue? I mean, they were able to prove Mario was infected, so Jim was free and clear. Like Falcone had a reason to be angry, because its his son, and even if he was infected, he felt it should be him who puts him down. I mean, he was also Lee's husband, and I guess she and Jim have a muddy history, but I think she was being a little melodramatic over it to actually call for his death.
Like she's all, "Oh, Barnes was taken in alive!" so she thinks Jim killed Mario over a vendetta, but then she changes her mind when she sees Barnes hamming it up in Arkham. Which was kinda hilarious. And then Carmine was all, "You secretly still love Jim!" What is this, some kinda soap opera?
Just like Riddler's overly elaborate plan using Clayface to mess with Penguin's head and destroy his political career. Also, ugh, so Selina's mom is already bringing trouble, what with some guy looking for money showing up, and Selina being all, my friend Bruce will pay you, just leave my mom alone. So now the guy thinks he can extort more money. I freaking loathe extortionists like that. Its like, why should I give you money, who the eff are you? You threatening to bash my skull in or the skull of someone I care about if I don't pay? Why don't I just bash your skull in instead!?
Timeless- You know, thinking about it, Flynn's plan makes no g-d sense. Like I thought he was just trying to spite Rittenhouse. But then he tells Lucy that he almost had his family back, and blames her for letting the one kid get away, because the organization continued, so he'll just have to continue just killing members throughout history. Which, given they're high-up in science and government and all that, would have serious consequences to the timeline. Like trying to kill Edison, Henry Ford, and JP Morgan? You know, if he radically changes America's history, he or his wife might not even be born! At the very least they may never meet. Or if they do meet, things will be so different he might not even have the same kid. So he won't be getting his family back either way.
Heh, but the thing that continues to frustrate me about this show is the way they change the timeline in little ways, and are all, "Welp, guess that's the way things are now!" and it drives me crazy, because now everything is wrong. At least in LoT, they don't show you the consequences of all the random baddies they kill, but they do fix the major events.
