TV commentary:
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- Ha, oh no! So Rebecca and Josh are officially back together. (But that's not exactly what I'm "oh no"-ing about). I appreciate the scene where Rebecca checks to see if Valencia is cool with it. (She's not, but she's no super-angry either, just "Eh") I like that they're still friends, and the show would've been remiss if they didn't cover that given Rebecca and Josh announced they were back together all over social media.
Anyways, Rebecca and Josh go to one of her relatives back in NY's Bar Mitzvah's. She was hoping to get him to see that her family was awful and miserable and that's why she wanted to move to California. But Josh thinks her family is pretty cool and gets along with everyone. And so Rebecca has an epiphany- that even having finally gotten Josh, she hasn't achieved the happiness she's been looking for.
And so she tells this to her therapist, that maybe Josh wasn't the be all, end all, and finally admit to herself that maybe there is something deeper going on with her. Too bad Josh talked to Rebecca's mom expressing sadness and thinking she's pulling away. Since she likes him, she doesn't want her daughter to break up with him. So, she tells him to get the Garfinkel ring and propose. So just as Rebecca is about to have her breakthrough and her therapist is about to go over the moon to finally have some progress, Josh shows up and proposes!
Rebecca of course says yes, and her therapist yells Fie at the world that they were so close!
Riverdale- As much as I've poked fun at the commercials for this for looking like a Funny or Die video about a gritty version of Archie, I'm a sucker who's going to at least catch the first episode. Heh, also, there's something HOTT about the Lydia Martin-looking chick being all, "I'm in the mood for chaos!" I'm a little disappointed the Betty/Veronica kiss they've been teasing is total queer-bating though.
But weird, I just found out the other day Ethel is being played by Barb from Stranger Things. I mean, its cool she's doing something post-Barb. I'm also amused Josie (of the Pussycats) is a main character, and if this show goes on, the show runners want to bring in Sabrina the teenage witch. Because that just sounds bonkers, but in a hilarious way. I mean, even PLL had Ravenswood.
