Frequency- Ah, how many platitudes can I use with Raimy? Wanting her cake and eating it too? Counting her chickens before they're hatched? So Raimy ends up spending most of this episode like things don't matter, because her dad was going to kill Deacon Joe (I'm still wondering if he's the actual Nightingale, or if there'll be a twist). Which is why its bad when Frank ends up getting into an accident with Deacon Joe in his trunk, and is thus unable to kill him. I mean, obviously its bad from his perspective, because he has an unconscious dude in his trunk, and Gordo and his dad saw him buying "murder supplies" at the hardware store. But its bad for Raimy, because she makes a bunch of decisions based on the assumption they'll just get erased.

I'm also curious if young Raimy really forgot her clarinet in Frank's car, or if she "forgot" it. Because she did look at the case before leaving the car, right? And intentionally left it there in the hopes he'd have to come to her recital. So young her screwed over old her? Of course, one of the issues of this show is when future Raimy's memories change. Like what determines when reality changes? If young her did do that intentionally, why didn't future her have a memory of it and tell her dad, "My bratty ass left her clarinet in your back seat and its going to screw you over!"

But yeah, getting to Raimy. So, Daniel is Mr Waffle. He proposes to his gf, but then the next morning says he tells Raimy he changed his mind and is choosing her instead? Meanwhile, that cop guy she dated gets into an accident. So 1) At first she wanted Daniel to tell his gf the truth, but when she thinks the timeline will change, she tells him to delay, thinking it won't matter because they'll both forget everything anyways. And 2) she flirts with the idea of being with cop guy. Like apparently he kept talking her up to his family and making it sound like their relationship was more than it is. So his mom asks her to join them for dinner when they're at the hospital. And again, since she thinks it doesn't matter, she accepts the invite and asks him what it will be like, seemingly wanting to give this guy hope?

And then they find Deacon Joe, but not before he's killed Meghan. So Raimy chases him down, and basically executes him in front of a bunch of witnesses. That's not good!

Meanwhile, they do a weird Gordo subplot about his father being kinda an a-hole who isn't happy that his son left a promising law career to be a house-husband, but also was thrown out by his second wife and having nowhere else to go. No offense, but why should we care, especially this late in the game?

Which is the unfortunate thing about this show and why it never took off. I just don't think the storyline is sustainable as a series. I want to see Frank and Raimy catch the Nightingale and save her mom. I don't care about random subplots about her fiancee or her best friend's relationship with his dad!

Degrassi- Cool, the new season is on netflix today! Since its quiet because everyone stayed home in a panic because of snow, I've been binging this. At the halfway point of the season. So, no fatalities in the bus crash, but Tristan is in a coma. Miles is distraught, and that actually leads to him developing a... friendship? Or maybe a relationship? With Lola, of all people! Its not as bad as it sounds, it plays. I like how even though Lola said she was fine at the end of last season, its clear Tiny and Shay getting together stings. And that doesn't compare to Miles' boyfriend being in a coma, but they do have a shared perspective. People expect them to just be happy now, like everyone else has come up with some arbitrary time period that has apparently passed that at this point, that Lola and Miles should have gotten over it!

Its particularly terrible in Miles case. I mean, I guess sometimes things are just so awful that its easier to ignore it, but its still effed up that people would prefer for Miles to stop mourning (or rather, mourn in private).

Another aftermath of the bus crash is that things are clearly wrong with Maya. She's gone dark and depresso. And they even mention Cam's suicide! She befriends a new guy named Saad (seriously, he's all depresso and he's named "Sad"?), a Syrian refugee who takes disturbing pictures as a hobby.

But yeah, that's one of the new additions this season is that Degrassi is hosting some Syrian refugees. Besides Saad, there's Rasha, who seems to be Zoe's new love interest. There was a neat ep where Rasha and Goldi have a discussion about their faith. Turns out Goldi is a little more religious than her family. Which is no surprise, since I keep forgetting Baaz is her brother.

Because he's still the worst. I mean, some would say Esme is the worst because she's kinda a bitch. Like we do get some tragic back story on her, she apparently has been in therapy since she was 10 after finding her mom after she committed suicide, and thinking her father apparently blames her. But sometimes she's too bitchy. She's dating Zig now, and I get that she's his gf, but it seems weird for her to hang out with Tiny and Grace and Jonah. I figure they'd be like, "Eff this bitch!"

Like the fifth episode, when Frankie and Shay invite their bfs over on what should be a girl's night, and they bring over the rest of their gang. I mean, I guess Miles stayed away from all that, but I figured he wouldn't be too keen on Esme showing up.

Which brings us to Baaz. Heh, the whole dick measuring contest was weird, and totally gay. Like who does that? I mean, I guess Vijay is actually gay. Which made the whole thing when Yael showed up and asked why Hunter blew her off and Baaz lied and said because they were going to watch pr0n kinda hilarious. Because like she said, were they going to watch their kinda pr0n, or Vijay's kinda pr0n? HA!! But yeah, I can't believe they actually went through with her judging the contest.

Hunter tells Yael to claim Baaz is the winner, because "he needed it". Because he's apparently totally jealous of Hunter. Which, Hunter is shocked at, but again, yes, he feels like this tortured soul. But dude, you have a cool gf and are rich af. I can't believe they wanted to stroke his ego like that, he'll become even more insufferable.

So yeah, I think Baaz is worse than Esme, because Esme knows she's a bitch. Baaz is one of those privileged straight boys who thinks he's put upon when he's a "nice guy" and can't understand why girls don't like him. Its because you're a fucking asshole. Like there was all that stuff last year when Yael and Hunter got together, and he acted like he had a say in the matter. And then this year, when trying to boost views for their youtube channel all, "Hmm, we need more female viewers? Girls like makeup and fashion and shit! Yael, start reviewing that!" Ugh.

In any case, I do like that Grace and Zoe are friends again, even though its kinda BS that they teased Gracevas and it fell through almost immediately. I mean, she liked Zig, and from what I hear she and Jonah might be a thing? Like why would a cool chick like that ever like either of those tools? But I'm glad to see Zoe find someone finally.
