Saw Rogue One again this morning. Because I'm incredibly paranoid, I had pre-ordered a ticket for this morning just in case yesterday's plans fell through. I mean, because they opened it up for pre-orders right after Thanksgiving, if I somehow wasn't able to see the movie Friday, it was highly unlikely I'd be able to get another ticket this weekend unless I pre-ordered. Since I fly out to NYC next week, I might not have been able to see it for a while if I didn't see it this weekend, and I couldn't wait that long. But I was able to see it yesterday. But it would be a waste not to see it again this morning since I already had the ticket. And its not like I had anything else going on.

Anyways, seeing it again, turns out certain scenes didn't happen in the order I thought, and I did notice a plot hole (that can be easily explained, though not perfectly). So after the rebel council refused to go to Scarif, but before Jyn went rogue, Mon Mothma and Bail Organa have their conversation about contacting Obi Wan. So he dispatches Leia on Captain Antilles' ship.

So if he was sending her on a mission to find Obi Wan, why would the Blockade Runner be on the Alliance Flagship for the Scarif attack? Additionally, when Mon Mothma does find out about Rogue One landing on Scarif and the Admiral also thumbing his nose at the council and taking a good portion of the fleet to support them, the Yavin base sent out their squadrons of X-wings and Y-wings to support them. BUT, as they're taking off, we see C-3PO remark to R2-D2 about how no one ever tells him anything. So, if they're still at the base, how do they end up on the blockade runner for Episode IV?

I guess it could be explained that after the squadron left, then Princess Leia, C-3PO, and R2-D2 take off on the ship. And for some reason they hook up with the attacking fleet during the actual attack and just dock with the Alliance flag ship and chill there? So like I said, that would explain how they got there, though there's no logical reason why they should've done that.

Oh wait, another thing I just thought of when I saw someone on tumblr wonder where all the dead Bothans were in the movie (that was a line from RotJ, concerning the theft of the second Death Star plans! There was nothing about Bothans in Episode IV). So this movie explains why there was a flaw in the original Death Star, because Galen purposely built it there. Which is fine. But how come the second Death Star also had a fatal flaw?

Actually, another thing I noticed the second time around, is that there's a lot of stuff in the trailers that doesn't end up being in the actual movie- Jyn's "I rebel!" line, Krennic walking on the beach with his cape dragging across the water, captured rebel pilots being marched by storm troopers on the Jedha streets. I guess when they did the re-shoots they changed some plot points?
