The Flash- He better fix that! So we find out more of Julian's history and how he became Alchemy. For one thing, it turns out he may not be in control when he's Alchemy. I mean, he blacks out when he's Alchemy and it does seem like he's under Savitar's sway, but for all we know they could reveal that was all a ruse a few episodes from now. Like I said, I had hoped Julian wasn't Alchemy, but knowing what we know now, I hope he really is just a pawn, because he seems like a nice guy at heart.
But yeah, his sister died, he heard her voice which led him to the Philospopher's Stone, which put him under Savitar's sway. Barry goes to Earth 3 to get Jay's help, and he and Flash manage to capture Savitar and Alchemy, wherein they find out Julian is Alchemy. At first they think he's a bad guy, but Barry figures out he's being controlled. So he confronts Julian with the evidence as Flash, but Julian is angry and thinks Flash is trying to frame him. But Barry shows his trust in Julian by revealing his identity.
Julian turns agreeable and they manage to get his help to talk to Savitar. But not before Savitar uses images of Dante to get Cisco to open the box holding the stone. But luckily Caitlin gets Cicso to close it before Savitar kills Barry and Wally (who was trying to prove he can help).
And so with Savitar boxed again, Cisco jury rigs a device to allow them to talk to Savitar through Julian. Savitar taunts the gang, saying one will fall, one will betray them, and one will suffer a fate worse than death. So after they tire of his words, they cut him off and decide to throw the box into the speed force. Barry and Jay succeed, but not before Barry is propelled 5 months into the future where he witnesses Savitar kill Iris.
Jay pulls him back, and Barry tells him the future he saw. Jay warns Barry that its only a possible future and not to get hung up on it. Like, be worried, but don't let the fear paralyze you. Barry was wanting to run to the future and save Iris then, but that's moronic! Like trying to change the past, its ill advised, but at least that makes sense. What's he going to do here, change the future, when it might already change through other things he and the team do?
It does seem like he takes Jay's advice to heart and is being chill for now. He gets a place for him and Iris to live him, and worry about the future later. Also, the Wests decide to give Wally a suit and let him be a hero, while Julian I guess has decided to try and be friends with the gang?
