geebsLatest purchases from Itunes this week:
-Rumer's "This Girl's in Love", which is a bunch of covers of songs by Bacharach and David.
-select songs from the Hamilton Mixtape.
-the soundtrack to the upcoming Hairspray Live on NBC. So now I have three different versions of "You Can't Stop the Beat" on my ipod.
-the cast recording to the Bonnie and Clyde musical from a few years ago. Basically I saw a video of a medley Laura Osnes did on my tumblr feed, and I though her voice was amazing. Which made me seek out stuff she did, which includes this musical where she plays Bonnie.
Clyde is of course played by Jeremy Jordan, and I swear I was only aware of him as Winn on Supergirl when the show first came out, and since then I keep seeing him in all these other things. Like the Last Five Years with Anna Kendrick, I was all, "Wait, that's him?" And now I was watching musical numbers from various movies on youtube, and I was watching some from Joyful Noise, and what the hell, he was Keke Palmer's love interest in that? I mean, he does look a little different than he does now, but I did not realize that was him until today. Like in my memory her love interest was a Hispanic guy. Of course, my fuzzy memory of Joyful Noise also had me thinking Dodds from SVU's character was being played by Jamie Kennedy.
