ME3 blather- You know, since I basically have more money than I know what to do with in this game, I realized I could tailor Shep's bonus power from mission to mission. Energy drain is great against geth and pretty good against Cerberus, but its uses are limited against Reapers unless you know for sure you'll be facing marauders or banshees. Flare, on the other hand, is a pretty bad-ass power to have, especially for an Infiltrator since Cloak cuts down the recharge on it to a mere three seconds.

So, going in with a biotic team (preferably Kaiden since he has overload to help against Marauders), just have one of the teammates prime someone, and then just detonate it with flare for a big boom. And unlike other biotic powers, it works against shields.

In any case, I was looking at builds for the Arena-only squadmates, and its incredibly disappointing Miranda is not a regular squadmate, because her freaking power set is amazing- overload, incinerate, warp and reave? That's like all the best powers! Overload for dealing with shields (and stunning organics), incinerate for armor, reave to set up/detonate biotic explosions, and warp for barriers/armor and to detonate any combo (plus set up biotic explosions). But yeah, a team of her and Kaiden could handle anything.

Wrex on the other hand, gets the short end of the stick. I mean, with Barrier, he's pretty much the toughest squadmate out there, but how the hell does he not have warp?! And his only other cooldown power is carnage, which, since he should always have barrier up, means its long cooldown is even longer. Stimpacks are interesting, but since it shares its "supply" with lift grenades, it takes away from both powers. (which is funny, because I'm pretty sure they only gave him lift grenades as a way to increase your stimpack count, especially if you go for the max grenades up evolution) Especially since even with squadmate powers set to manual, his AI is set to pop stims whenever his shields go down.

I mean, I guess that's fine within the limited confines of the arena, where grenades are readily available. But its disappointing. Really all you can do with him is just jack up his resilience, turn on barrier, and let him just charge in and go to town. Which while effective is also a little boring, it woulda been nice to be able to do more with him biotically.
