TV commentary:

Scream- Halloween special. Its interesting they decided to do a special, particularly since I didn't think the shows ratings were all that hot. But it is basically a standalone ep, with the only big development being Kieran getting murdered in the courthouse after being sentenced to multiple life sentences. Interesting though, who killed him? It wasn't the random stalker killer in this ep. But I guess the show posits its either Emma's dad (who's looking at Kieran's grave at the end of the ep), possibly out of revenge for what Kieran did to his daughter. Or, its someone in the James family, as a Mr James shows up in town at the end.

Heh, looking at Kieran's gravestone, I guess they made him older than he was supposed to be. Which, how does that work? I can buy him lying about his age if no one knew him, but his dad was the former sheriff, and his aunt and cousin would also know how old he is. So its not like he could get away with pretending to still be in high school since there are people around who could verify his actual age. Which, speaking of, when they talked about Kieran killing friends and family, what happened to Eli's mom? She seemed like a piece of crap, and thus someone who would be overly litigious. I'm surprised she didn't appear causing trouble or trying to sue, given Emma technically shot Eli first, weakening him for Kieran.

Anyways, so the story here is Noah and Stavo did a graphic novel (Noah written, Stavo illustrated) about their experiences, and now their publisher wants them to do more. But Noah refuses, citing writer's block. The publisher guy offers to fly them to some island where some lady Anna killed a bunch of people. He's hesitant, but since the newsies are all over town wanting to ask the Lakewood survivors about Kieran's death, they invite the gang to go off with them.

Sure enough, they get stuck in the middle of a murder spree. The killer is some random wackjob stalker who has a thing for Emma, and somehow got the publisher to pick Anna as the subject of Noah and Stavo's next book. Mostly by "creating buzz on the publisher's message board", which seems like a very thin plan, because how could he be sure the publisher would latch on to it? Not of the Lakewood folks come close to dying, and Emma manages to kill her stalker single handedly.

In the end, Noah gets over his writer's block, having figured out the truth of the island murders. Anna wasn't a psycho killer who killed her family and her mom's boss. Noah suspects the boss was a rapist, and had killed her mom and brother, and mortally wounded her, but she managed to kill him before succumbing to her wounds. And then the guy's wife made up a story to save her husband from scandal. Stavo had told him earlier he didn't have writer's block, he had survivor's guilt. But Noah is inspired to write again to speak for the victims. Which I guess is at least a nice reason to write about gory murders.

Audrey has a new gf! But, its not Emma, much to the Emrey shippers' chagrin. Hilariously though, Gina gets jealous of Emma and thinks maybe something is going on. She even calls Audrey out saying she always picks Emma first. And then in the middle of the argument Emma shows up saying she needs Audrey to come right now. And she comes running! HA! They're still together at the end though, and its nice to see Audrey get a LI, even if its not Emma.

As for Stavo and Brooke. Brooke wants to go to NY, and Stavo wants to follow, but she doesn't want him to. I get her sentiment, she doesn't want to be his only reason for moving across the country, because what if things don't work out. Which, you can't blame her for having doubts given the number of people she's lost, so she prolly has abandonment issues and has become cynical about relationships lasting. She could've said it better though, but eventually she relents and asks him to come to NY, because it would be dumb to give up on a relationship for problems that may never happen.
