Scream- Finally! Everyone now knows Jake is dead, Brooke being showered by his blood and viscera when the school unfurls a banner while she's on stage (with Zoe and 3 other randoms) for being one of the girls in the running for Miss Teen Lakewood or whatever. So the end eps with her getting Carrie'd, then Jake's body plopping down on the stage. Which, hasn't he been dead for a while, shouldn't people have noticed a stench?
But yeah, that's the end, lets start at the beginning. Audrey buries the corkscrew, only to wake up the next morning to find the killer has dug it up and slipped it in her bed while she was sleeping. Is this person a freaking ninja?!
Emma's been doing a dream journal like the one teacher said, having dreams about the killer killing Kieran and then staring at her. As she gets ready for school, she's greeted with her parents fighting. Her dad still wants to see her, and her mom isn't having it on the account of him being an abusive drunk and all. Emma's having none of their shit- she's mad at her dad for abandoning her and finding out he had broken Maggie's jaw once. But, she's also mad at her mom for constantly keeping more and more secrets to "protect" her, when all it does is mess with her head and it becomes much worse when she finds out these secrets second hand.
Since she's stressed, its not that hard for Eli to trick Emma into thinking Kieran wants a surprise party for his birthday. Originally, she and him were just going to have a quiet, romantic night together, but instead, she throws a party at her house since her mother is going to be out. As per usual, its only supposed to be a small gathering, but a bunch of people go. The Lakewood 5, Eli, Gustavo, and Zoe, are all there obviously. Eli since it was his plan, and Zoe because Noah invited her. Well, technically, he hemmed and hawed, and Brooke ended up asking her for him.
At school, hilariously, Gustavo continues to be creepy, staring over at the Lakewood girls all creepily. Audrey finally asks about him, and Brooke talks about how he's all weird and obsessed with them. So I'm guessing Audrey thinks he might be the killer, and pulls the fire alarm so she can sneak back into class and look at his tablet. (Are people going to really leave their bags in the room? If its a real fire, wouldn't you want to not have your expensive ipad possibly getting destroyed?) But on it, she sees drawings of all of them, only Emma's has a knife through her head. Yeah, that's not creepy! I wonder why he's fixated on her? I mean, there's the implication that his dad and Emma's parents used to be friends. Did they do something to his dad that is causing him to have a grudge?
Audrey asks Noah when they're getting ready for the party for deets on Gustavo, since Noah apparently is on friendly terms with him. She mentions Brooke thinking he's obsessed with her, but Noah plays it off as her thinking everyone is obsessed with her. Which, I can't see how he can be so blase when he knows for a fact Mr Branson was still wanting to get with her as of last week, and you know, the whole Piper killing their friends thing? So its weird to see him play it off as her being conceited when they've had psychos hovering around them before. But I digress, Noah reminds us that even though he appears to be a protagonist, he's still creepy when he defends Gustavo all, "Well, Jennifer Jason Leigh in SLW and Marky Mark in Fear get a bad rap!"
Party time comes and Eli and Emma share an intimate moment, and for some reason she doesn't think its as weird as it actually is. I mean, first off, Eli is freaking weird, so I'm not sure why she'd like him. And two, she's with his cousin! And she's telling Brooke, "I accidentally kissed Kieran's creepy cousin! That's no big deal, right!" It kinda is.
Anyways, there's a bottle of tequila from "Jake". Everyone drinks and remarks it tastes funny. Audrey realizes something's up when she hears the bottle is from Jake. Only she can't voice her concerns because no one else knows he's dead. Indeed, people start puking, but eventually things settle down and Gustavo recognizes it as some herb that causes hallucinations and the like. Audrey tries to keep everyone in the house and safe, lest they fall prey to the killer. (Not that she says that's why she's saying they should be cautious)
Brooke has a freak-out, but Gustavo seems to help her down. Audrey hallucinates Rachel, and apologizes profusely to her, saying this is her fault. I really want the show to have a clear breakdown of what Audrey did and didn't do. Like I don't think Audrey would've killed Rachel, and her saying "this is my fault" seems to imply she didn't directly do it, but maybe blames herself for bringing Piper to Lakewood. But yeah, after that happened, I just can't see her helping Piper. I mean, there was her DNA on the mask, but I'm skeptical she would continue with Piper's plan after she killed Audrey's gf. But you'd think knowing it was Piper, she'd try to get revenge. I mean, maybe she was worried about being implicated like she is this season, but I figured she'd do something.
But yeah, in the bowling alley or abandoned warehouse or whatever, I can't believe Audrey would be the other person behind the mask. Perhaps its all a red herring, and we just assume it was her. In any case, even though its a hallucination, she's apologizing aloud, and then kisses hallucination!Rachel, who's actually Noah! Zoe happens upon this, and since she's off her gourd, she's all cool, and ropes them into a threesome make out.
Which has bad consequences in that 1) Noah asks Audrey why she was apologizing, which she plays off and 2) Zoe for some reason thinks that exchange means Noah secretly likes Audrey and thus doesn't want to start something with him if he's just settling. Woah there, that's a big leap. I mean, I can see him possibly liking her, but I think Zoe's still grasping at straws.
Finally, Emma hallucinates the killer, only we don't know if its a hallucination or not. It attacks her and she runs and screams, and her father ends up showing up and seemingly scaring the guy off. Or rather, she thinks he scares them off. But after, when the cops come, he says he saw nothing, and most of her friends don't believe her, thinking it was just PTSD/being high. Eli believes her though, which ugh, that's just gonna push her closer to his creepy ass.
