Arrow- Well, that was an underwhelming end to the season. They manage to defeat Dahrk, thanks to Oliver Queen inspiring the city and causing the citizenry to help the Arrow fight. Ollie actually kills Dahrk, deeming him too dangerous to just lock away like he did Slade. Oh, and they decide to make Ollie make because of his inspirational speech. Then in the end, everyone leaves Olicity to go find themselves or something.
For Diggle, it was because the guilt of killing his brother has been eating him up. Hilariously, he had told Lyla it was in self defense, instead of saying how it really went down. So he finally gets the courage to tell her the truth, expecting her to be horrified... and she's all, "that's fine, whatevs!" Its like, dude, your wife is an ex-special ops soldier who just became head of a shady black ops group. I think she's pretty okay with that sort of thing.
Thea I guess is taking a vacay since she really hadn't had any downtime since being rezzed. And Quentin just goes on an extended trip with Donna, because his job doesn't hold as much meaning to him after what happened to Laurel. So he's taking a break.
I'm curious if the lackluster ending was due to Flash. On the one hand, while it is a shared universe, I presume the shows like some degree of autonomy, so as to not alienate viewers who just like one show or the other and might just quit altogether if they had to keep up with multiple shows just to understand. On the other, maybe Flash's time-line changing will have implications for Arrow and Supergirl (I presume LoT being time travelers somehow makes them immune to the time changes), so Arrow purposely didn't have any real dangling threads so they can go right into the possibly Flashpoint-ish stuff.
SVU- Well, I think people had been expecting it, but they foreshadowed it pretty heavy in the beginning of the ep. I mean, freaking Dodds is having a going away party, and even though its his last day, he decides to help Liv on a domestic? It does seem like a cheat though to resolve this case- they implied the CO union had reach, so trying to crack them would be tough. Of course, if the guy they're supporting does something really dumb, like KILL THE SON OF THE POLICE COMMISSIONER, that pretty much screws up their case.
I would've liked to see that though, where the shady union creeps cut Everybody Loves Raymond's brother loose and throws him to the wolves. Because its one thing for the union to be all, "How dare you guys take the word of filthy prisoners over the men and women who guard the criminal scum", but its another when the dumb-ass not only take his wife, the daughter of a prominent police official, hostage, but freaking shoot the son of the Commissioner.
But ha, what the hell is with that ending?! They made you think IA guy was about to propose. Heh, that relationship still freaking cracks me up. Like if you told a viewer 15 years ago that, "Oh, see that IAB guy who's constantly dickish to the squad? He and Liv end up dating!" they would think you were off your rocker!

I'm still hoping Liv and Barba get together... I mean he did get all jelly when he found out the IA guy and her were sleeping together and there was a comment from Liv that they'd grow old together.
