TV commentary:

TVD- Whoops!! Interesting, after Rayna transferred her life force into Bonnie, Bonnie realized she was turning into a vampire hunter. Since she didn't want to wake up and kill her friends, she purposely kept herself in a coma. Alas, they try to enter her dreams, convince her that some vamps are good, in the hopes that she will feel she has enough control to wake up without destroying them. But all that does is get them killed by her in her dream, and "marking" them.

So, after marking both Caroline and Enzo, now Bonnie definitely doesn't want to wake up! So, Damon goes in and basically taunts her and makes her so angry that she'll wake up to kill him. Sure, she'll now be hunting all of them, but I guess he figures once they wake her up, they can figure out a solution. Otherwise she'll just waste away as she refuses to wake up.

She chases him down, and basically lures her to her old grave to make a plea. He tells her he loves her and wants her forgiveness, and if she has to kill him, he absolves her. She seems to struggle, but the call is too strong and she goes to kill him. Luckily, Matt saves him. But only because he knows even though Damon is a dick, and absolved her of killing him, once they got her back she would never forgive herself for doing so. So, he's going to take Bonnie far away to give them a head start.

(Heh, he doesn't get too far, as Bonnie wakes up from the tranqs Matt loaded her with and chokes him out, resuming her hunt)

Stefan had vervained Caroline to take her away once she got marked. She's pissed at him, and tells him how him abandoning her hurt. He's all, he ran way to protect her, but she saw his letters. It seemed less running away, and more traveling the world. So as she tearily says goodbye to Alaric and the girls, since she can't risk them getting hurt on the run, Stefan tells her to pick where they should go.

Meanwhile, Enzo and Damon figure out maybe killing the last shaman linked to Bonnie might take away her urge to kill. Too bad its locked in the Armory, and getting in risks letting the great evil in there out. But since when did they care about consequences when it comes to people they care about?

The Originals- The price was too high. And the ending pissed me off. So Marcel and Kol get Vincent to consecrate Davina so she'll be on the other side so they can try and resurrect her. The problem is, the Ancestors are looking to tear her apart. So, they get Freya to put her in a protective circle to prevent them from doing that until they can bring her back.

Too bad Freya figured out that since Davina is tied to the other side, she can use her as a conduit to counterspell the Ancestor's spell and turn Lucien back to normal. Which she decides to enact once it becomes clear Lucien is going after Rebekah, and when she loses contact with Klaus and Hayley after they go to recover her body from where it was hidden before the witches find it with a locator spell.

I mean, I get why Vincent and Marcel are pissed. The Mikaelsons use anyone if it protects the family. And it kinda made me mad that Freya and Elijah just ambushed Marcel and Davina and broke the circle so Freya could use Davina as a conduit even though it left her defenseless from the Ancestors. If they told everyone the details beforehand, they could've talked it out, figured out how to use Davina's connection without making her helpless! Maybe even gotten Davina to volunteer for the risk if it meant taking out Lucien and avenging Cami.

But in typical Mikaelson fashion, they just bully their way through problems. And so Davina supposedly gets her soul shredded by Van's mom. Which, maybe she isn't dead-dead. Like, we see Van's mom standing over Davina, about to use the stone to destroy Davina, but then we cut to Van trying to resurrect Davina (having been coerced by Marcel, Vincent and Kol) and the spell failing because Van couldn't sense her anymore. So they assume they were too late. I guess they might not be and they'll find out she's still alive later. Hopefully. They already lost Cami, it would suck if they lost another person for real.

Anyways, Lucien T-bones Klaus and Hayley when they recover Rebekah's body, and he kicks the crap out of them, until Freya and Elijah show up and undo the spell. Lucien is returned to normal, and Klaus gives him a Glasgow smile before ripping out his heart and torching his body. So much for that loser.

Meanwhile, since Davina seems to be toast, Kol confronts Van saying while Davina wouldn't want him to kill Van, she's not around anymore to hold him back. And so Kol finally takes that nobody out. Which is incredibly unsatisfying, because all that means is he's on the Other Side and reunited with his mom. In fact, he's only made the Ancestors stronger by adding to their power. Kol should've used his knowledge of Dark Objects to come up with a better punishment for Van, because how does that fit the crime? His mom supposedly destroyed Davina. Kol should've done something commiserate to Van.

Anyways, the Mikaelsons try to apologize to Marcel and Vincent, but they're not having it. Marcel did everything they asked, and they still screw Davina over. So he's done with them. And Vincent was never their biggest fan to begin with. It is annoying that Klaus and Elijah don't say to Marcel, if they didn't do what they did, Lucien would've prolly killed Rebekah, which I'm sure Marcel would've been upset about that. Like they're angry at the Mikaelsons for protecting their own, but killing Lucien was for all of them.

If Lucien destroyed the Mikaelsons, where does that put them? Vincent had been shunned, and he sorta threw his lot in with the Mikaelsons. Does he think the Ancestors would let that go unpunished, especially once the Mikaelsons were no longer around to reluctantly help him? And does Marcel think the Ancestors and Lucien would just stop at the Mikaelsons?

And while the Mikaelsons did leave Davina vulnerable, they weren't the ones who killed her in the first place. Or killed her on the other side? That was all because of the Ancestors. Which is why the ending pissed me off. Vincent had siphoned the elixir that turned one into a super-Original like Lucien out of Aurora. And so he offers it to Marcel to drive the Mikaelsons out of town to "take back NOLA!"

Which, did Vincent forget that he was angry at the Ancestors because they were users and every bit as assholish as the Mikaelsons? And like I said, Davina's deaths were caused by them. So its ridiculous to me that Vincent would just do a 180 on that and be all, "Its the Mikaelsons' fault" again.

Other stuff, Klaus tells Hayley him losing Cami isn't the same as her losing Jackson, because even though Jackson's gone, and she was fond of him, the one she really likes is still alive. And so it looks like Hayley and Elijah are back on track.
