So randomly web surfing, I discovered the voice actress for Gaige in Borderlands/Lucy in Fairy Tail is actually pretty cute. But then I found this vid:

which I did not realize until halfway through that she was acting out Rachel scenes from Glee, which gets kudos in my book. (Though -1 point for saying NYADA wrong)

TV commentary:

The Originals- Hmm, so we finally learn Lucien's plan. So, Davina gets a message from Vincent to meet him at that one bar where magic doesn't work. Why? Because its only there that he can get out from the watchful eye of the Ancestors and leave a video message to warn her and the Mikaelsons about how the Ancestors are forcing him to help Lucien and how they grabbed Freya. He leaves a vial of his blood, saying she can use it and his former connection to Finn to track where they're going since the Ancestors are making him cloak himself, Lucien and Freya. But since Finn and Vincent were once connected, that can be used to break through the spell.

She tells the Mikaelsons, who work on a plan to rescue Freya. She narrows down their location to Mystic Falls, and while she and Kol go to grab a dark object from Cami that will help her scry better, while Finn and Elijah go to Mystic Falls. When they get there, I guess the town got thriving again off screen after Matt drove out all the vampires. But ha, he like confronts them all, "I don't like vampires in my town" and its like he's lucky the brothers have some sense of... loyalty and prolly think Rebekah or the MF crew would be mad if they just snapped him like a twig. I mean, it was a little ridiculous, because its not like they were gonna be all, "Oh no, its Matt Donovan!" when they saw him. In any case, not only do they not kill him, they let him tag along, because he insists on helping.

Meanwhile, lets get to Klaus and Hayley. So, Hayley wants to start checking out Kingmaker addresses to find out what the hell Lucien's people were doing with the wolves. Klaus finds out about Freya, but for once trusts his siblings to handle things and decides to help Hayley out in her search- after all, since these are Lucien's holdings, what he's doing with the wolves must be connected to why he kidnapped Freya. They're equally important tasks so instead of micromanaging everything and try to do two things at once, he follows Hayley and leaves rescuing Freya in Finn and Elijah's capable hands.

They manage to rescue her, but not before the spell is complete. What kinda spell? One that turns Lucien into an Original Hybrid. And indeed, Lucien wanted someone to kill him to finish his transformation- Finn grabs Matt's hand and has him shoot through Freya to seemingly kill Lucien. He comes to and ends up biting Finn, but Freya puts up a protection spell, so Lucien grows bored and leaves.

Meanwhile, Klaus and Hayley find a promising lead. He tries to compel a secretary, who immediately calls forth a goon squad. Of course, since Klaus and Hayley are both hybrids, and Klaus an original one at that, they basically slaughter the entire building. They find a lab in the basement where they find several werewolves and a dead vamp. They free the wolves, and at first think Lucien was just doing experiments. He was harvesting the wolf venom and reverse engineering a cure.

So, with that question answered, Hayley sends Klaus back to his siblings and work things out. He could get on the road towards mending by healing Finn and not let him having to go through the torture of working the poison out of his system.

Only, after Klaus leaves, Hayley talks with one of the werewolves and discovers Lucien had captured a wolf from each of the seven tribes. He kept on experimenting, getting their venom, feeding it to the vampire prisoner, curing her, over and over, until finally they gave her something that couldn't be cured and killed her.

And indeed, Klaus heals his brother, only to find out Finn is still dying. Since Finn didn't want to be an abomination anyways, he's cool with it, and even more so that this day the family all worked together is the first time he's felt that "always and forever" bond between the siblings. He finally gets to end his monstrous existence, and be on good terms with his family in his final moments.

So why did he die? Because Lucien made a super venom from the venom of all 7 of the wolf clans. He tosses that concoction into the mix to make him a super lethal original hybrid. Freya realizes he had another vial, and the siblings realize its for Aurora. And yep, he freed Aurora and she's prolly on her way to becoming a super-Original hybrid as well.

Other stuff- Kol is getting more and more volatile. When Cami sees him, she recognizes the same symptoms she saw in her Uncle when he was cursed. She warns Davina that she doesn't think Kol being angry is him warring with his old nature. And indeed, Davina gets some of his blood and discovers the ancestors tainted the spell that brought him back and he's in a bad spot.

She meets with Vincent at the bar and tells her what she discovered. And having been put under the Ancestors thumb, he tells her the Ancestors are a bunch of pricks. He realizes now that they use the witches as their pawns, tossing them out and discarding them after they've outlived their usefulness. And he's sick and tired of it. So while the Mikaelsons are no doubt seeking revenge on Lucien and Aurora, he wants Davina to help him strike back at the Ancestors.
