X-Files- Well, that was kinda BS. Why bring back the show only to do that? I don't recall the original series finale that well, but it seemed to end on an open enough note, that maybe somehow things will work out. But this one, the apocalypse actually comes, and just when Scully has found a cure, she is most likely about to get blown up.
Heh, but at least they reconciled the whole them saying the world was going to end back in 2012 in the original series and the show being past that date. So it turns out the whole apocalypse process was started back in 2012.
But I digress, let me see if I figure out what the whole series was about now. So, aliens, seeing us detonate a nuke, think we are on our way to destroying ourselves. So they go to warn us or something, but then they crash on Earth, and a conspiracy of men steal the tech in order to take over the world themselves. And to distract people from that plan, they made it seem like they were working for aliens?
And their big plan to take over? Infect people via the smallpox virus (way to make it seem like the anti-vaxxers have a legitimate worry!) that does something to their DNA to totally compromise their immune systems, so they die from like normal things. And a select elite get alien DNA which protects them from this new virus.
So who is protected? CSM, Scully, and surprise, Monica Reyes! What the shit! Way to assassinate a character! Oh, after the end of the previous series, CSM goes to Monica and is all, "Want to join my conspiracy so you won't die of horrible diseases?" And she's like, sure!
Other comments: When did Mulder become Jason Bourne? I mean, it was a cool fight, but since was Mulder such a bad ass?
