Teen Wolf- Heh, what the hell, they have Lydia giving Stiles the heart eyes last week because he saved her, and then like this week its like nothing ever happened! In the B-plot, Parrish has the gang follow him when he's asleep to see where the Hellhound is going. They're lead to a massacre by the Beast (which the news seems to not care about, not when there's charity lacrosse going on!) and Parrish runs off to fight it. Lydia finds him later, all beat up, so the Argents think the only way to get Parrish to win is to unify him with his Hellhound side.
They freeze him to the point of near death, as that will apparently let his conscious talk to his subconscious or something like that. But the Hellhound comes out and talks to Lydia and the Argents. Turns out, he was "born" when Parrish coincidentally got blown up trying to defuse an IED at the exact same time Scott, Stiles, and Allison killed themselves in 3rd season to do that thing with the Nemeton. He refers to Parrish as dead, a meat suit he wears, the Parrish they know an echo of the man he once was. But Lydia doesn't believe that. She convinces the Hellhound that he needs Parrish, that only by the two personalities working together will he/they be strong enough to defeat the Beast.
In the A-plot, Mason figures out the Dread Doctors have been summoning the beast by hijacking powerful transmissions. And where is there going to be a bunch of transmissions in the near future? The charity lacrosse game against Brett's school. For some reason, they get the coach out of rehab so they can convince him to forfeit the game. Which was incredibly confusing, because it sounded like they wanted to use the opportunity to find the Beast (in the aftermath of the massacre at the beginning of the ep, they find a size 10 footprint with Parrish's blood in it) by finding a size 10 shoe with blood on the soles. Which, how do they know it didn't come from somewhere else? Or that by the time they search, it would've been almost a whole day, and the shoes could have been cleaned or the host walked through like wet grass or something, something that might erase the blood from the naked eye. Its not like they were doing any of that forensic stuff on the shoes to get blood to show up.
Maybe they were hoping they could get the Coach to forfeit the game once they found their suspect? Which joke on them, when the game finally comes, Coach says he never effin forfeits, so they're stuck. They even get Brett and his sister Lori to help (which heh, this whole time I thought Lori and Sydney were the same girl, that she just changed her hair or something because they have similar facial features). She sneaks under the bleachers to check shoes, while Mason and Corey search the opposing team's bus. Mason and Corey end up making out, but there's this weird moment where Corey stops like he realizes something about Mason? Could Mason be the Beast? We don't find out this ep.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gang is trying to keep the game going so they can continue their search (which again, makes the whole wanting Coach to forfeit thing not make sense) Brett is annoyed because Beacon Hills sucks and even trying not to do well his team is still kicking their ass. Especially after Kira gets ejected for being violent since the fox spirit takes over her. She ends up getting into a knock down drag out fight with Lori, until Scott breaks them up. But Liam does get to shine on the field though, heh, after Hayden gives him a pep talk. Its like Gabriella in Now or Never in HSM3, telling Troy she believes in him, motivating him to win. So after hearing her be there for him (not just in lacrosse, she believes in him and Scott now, so she's throwing her lot in with them), he's like a new pup, scoring a goal.
Malia is tasked with taking out the newsvans' dishes. She's interrupted by her mom who threatens her, though Malia knows her mom can't kill her to take her powers back until the full moon (which Malia learned from Braeden). That doesn't stop her mom from menacing her, saying she knows she's doing all this especially for Stiles. So she might go after him? Unfortunately, just when Malia finishes sabotaging the vans after her mom leaves, one of the vans manages to get fixed, sending the signal which calls forth the Beast. We end with Liam trying to take it on, but being unsuccessful, since Scott, Kira, and Lori see a bunch of people fleeing from the Beast through the school.
