Jan. 19th, 2016 09:46 pmG-D there's too much TV on Tuesday. Flash, PLL, B99, Teen Wolf, The Expanse, Agent Carter, and NCIS, at least I don't have to worry about Shannara Chronicles this night since I already saw the ep online.
TV commentary:
PLL- Wow, they really pile things on Emily! So we knew her dad got killed in the 5 year break, and last week made it seem like she was a druggie, but in actually she's dying?! What the shit! And she's trying to keep it a secret from everyone, especially her mom. Like Pam already lost her husband, Em doesn't want her mom to deal with her daughter possibly dying as well.
And to twist the knife, we see her at her father's grave freaking APOLOGIZING for being so emotionally distraught over his death that she failed out of college and kept it secret and will do something to fix it. Jesus Em, people would understand, you didn't have to hide it for fear of letting people down!
So we finally meet Hanna's new fiancee Jordan, as well as Aria's new bf, who is her co-worker and is secretly dating (though interestingly enough, her co-workers know she knows Ezra, but not that they used to date? Did that not come out at some point) And Ezra has a new blond running the Brew, who had spotted Emily at the medical center, could she be a new love interest?
And okay, they're really making it seem like something is going on between Caleb and Spencer. Not only are they both in Washington, but then Spence tells Jordan that she randomly ran into Caleb in Madrid. And then they later start cutely talking about their adventures in Madrid, which they both refer to as "their best night in Europe". I know some people are up in arms over this, but I've always found it interesting in TV when they throw random unexpected couplings together.
But ha, Ali's suspicious of Aria, and she throws shade during freaking GRACE all, "Bless this food, and please help find my sister's killer, whoever he or SHE may be!" That's hilarious! Aria did leave, to see Ezra, and they saw Charlotte go to the church. And then Ezra is all angry, "How unfair is it that my innocent girlfriend gets kidnapped and possibly killed, and Charlotte gets to be free!" and then he mysteriously leaves Aria.
Em is all, "Ezra can't be capable of this!" The guy who creepily stalked a bunch of underage girls is incapable of murder?! Complicating matters is that apparently Spencer did a case study in one of her Criminology classes, about a murder where the victim was killed in the exact same way as Charlotte. And she told Ezra about it, so he possibly could've used that! Hanna erases the surveillance video of Aria leaving the hotel, which, yeah, that won't be suspicious later when the cops go to check it out!
In the end tag, someone is visiting a grave (presumably Charlotte's) and goes back into a limo where the driver tells the person that he's sorry for their loss.
And heh, the previews for next week look like they will go into the Spaleb stuff, with Melissa (good to see her back!) taunting her and Hanna asking about it. Ah can't wait to see the fur fly!
