TV commentary:

PLL- I knew that's how things were going to play out! So we knew Ali was a teacher in Rosewood, but what's going on with everyone else? Spencer is apparently a lobbyist for grassroot causes, Mona is apparently in a similar position, but for "the other side" whatever that means.

Emily's dad died in the interim, and she's now a druggie and is lying about what she's doing- Spencer thinks she's at some institute, but she's really bartending. Hanna broke up with Caleb and is now some Fashionista with a so far unseen fiancee. Ashley apparently turned Radley into a fancy hotel.

Aria wrote a book, apparently, under the same publisher as Ezra- who is back in Rosewood all sad and upset because Nicole went to NOLA to stalk Klaus and some other volunteers got kidnapped by "revolutionaries". Heh, Toby is still a cop, but I totally forgot about that until they showed him in a uniform at the end of the ep (Lorenzo meanwhile has become a detective). Like when Spencer first sees him, he's doing some contracting work, and I thought he was still doing construction.

Anyways, the girls are back in town because Charlotte's doctor thinks she's well enough to be released, and Ali wants the girls to speak on her behalf. For some reason, they agree. Spence, Hanna, and Em tell the court, "Sure, let her out!" Aria actually says she wouldn't feel safe. Finally, they expect Mona to be all, "Keep that bitch inside!" But shockingly, Mona says Charlotte should be released. And she is!

Turns out Spencer was willing to do this for Ali because she expected the judge to keep Charlotte institutionalized. So, she's quite upset that she lied for nothing, and respects Aria for having the courage the rest of them lacked.

Like I said, I totally knew which direction they were going- Charlotte was totally going to get murdered, what with everyone who had beef with her back in town. Even Sara Harvey shows up all mysteriously at the funeral. Everyone thinks its a suicide at first, and so the girls feel guilty all, "Oh, we helped get her out, and she killed herself!" But Lorenzo tells the Liars not to leave town, because the autopsy reveals Charlotte was dead before she fell from the bell tower.

Heh, another thing I'm guessing at which would be hilarious, but would cause the fandom to totally flip out, is that something is going on between Spencer and Caleb. Like they mention a few times how Caleb has been to Washington, and is thinking of joining Spencer's group. And Spencer calls Caleb to see Hanna in the aftermath of Charlotte's death, ostensibly because Han has all sorts of feelings about the situation. But after he sees Hanna, and he's talking with Spence in the lobby, they seem to have a weird moment, which to me stinks of a secret relationship.

iZombie- Heh, this ep was chock full of inside refs. Since the case of the week involved a high school zombie show, of course, they made several meta jokes. But they finally made a power ranger joke, what with Rose Mciver being a former Yellow Ranger.

I'm pleasantly surprised Ravi told Major and Liv about the cure not being permanent within the first minute, at least they didn't draw that out. Nor does Clive's freeze out of Liv last too long. There is a moment where it seems like they're still on the outs, but it was all for show to get the killer of the week to confess.

Crazy though, Gilda tells Vaughn he can't trust Major, so her dad tests his loyalty by having a pretend whistleblower seek Major's help. Major seemingly turns the guy in, and at first I thought it was a random guess that it was a test, or Major felt that this stuff getting out would be a huge problem for himself and his friends. But, since Major gave Vaughn a bugged fitbit, he knew what was going on.

Some cliffhangers at the end- one, apparently the dog Major took has a tracker, which FBI girl is about to track, and she also interviewed Blaine because his number was called by some of the missing folks. She almost spots one of his brain coolers, but later when she's talking to Clive, she sees a sketch of Blaine on his desk. He tells her he's a suspect in the Meat Cute massacre, and she tells him she just met him. So it sounds like they're about to check him out.
