NCIS: LA- Woah, what's up with the Granger stuff this ep? Is the implication that Malese Jow's character is possibly Granger's daughter?! I mean, I think she's an established enough actress that this was pretty minor a role compared to what she's been getting lately unless there's something more to it. I mean, he keeps that pic in his wallet, so her mom must be somewhat important to him. The last time he saw her was '89, and honestly, the age could fit for her being his daughter.
And then they establish the similarities between them when he goes to talk to her and how they're both grumps. Plus, Hetty's comments at the end. Asking if any of what Granger said was the truth and how Jennifer might need that to be true. Like, why would she need some random dude knowing her mom, possibly before she was even born to be true? Unless there is some deeper connection there!
But, Deeks reveals to Kensi that he did kill that guy! Kensi figured it out already, and was just waiting until Deeks was comfortable with letting her know. She seems cool with it, though like I said, I wish we had more details in what that entailed. He says he did it to protect that one hooker, but there's a fine line between saving her in the moment, like the guy was literally about to kill her, so Marty killed him to save her, and him basically ambushing and killing his ex-partner just because he knew he was going to kill the girl. Like if it were the latter, I think that would be a little dark for this show.
Oh, but one thing that was hilariously dark was Connor Mcleod apparently sending Callen a Xmas card every year, and Callen just displaying it like it was a normal thing. Like, he has such few people in his life other than the team that the only card he can display is really just a passive aggressive taunt from a psycho killer who wants him dead.
