Scream Queens- That was a pretty hilarious season finale! I thought the reveal and aftermath were fine. So, turns out Pete was indeed a red devil killer, but only because they were actually three red devils. But my suspicion about him being rogue and killing Boone while disguised as the other red devil was slightly off. He did kill Boone, but he didn't sneak into team red devil's, well team. Turns out he witnessed Boone as the red devil, and because of the way Chanel had treated Pete, it took very little convincing to get Pete to join Gigi and the bathtub twins. I've already forgotten why Pete ended up killing Boone (or if he also killed Gigi), but it doesn't matter. The other red devil kills him before he can reveal to Grace who they are.
Well, he manages to let Grace know that the other killer is one of her sisters. So she and Zayday investigate, find Hester's transcript is totally fake, and finger her as the killer. Only, when they go to j'accuse, she's been stabbed in the eye with a heel, and as they're carting her away in the ambulance, she says Chanel #5 did it at the end of the first hour.
But, we quickly find out at the start of the second hour that Hester really is the other bathtub baby, and she had an elaborate plan framing Chanel #5 as the other bathtub baby (heh, even convincing Libby's parents to go along, which they eagerly do because they hate their daughter. Oh yeah, Chanel #5's real name is Libby), making Chanel #3 (whom we find out is actually named Sadie) think she has a split personality "Dirty Helen" who agreed to go along, and Chanel as the ringleader.
So the Chanels get arrested, Grace, Zayday, and Hester take over the Kappas, the Dean becomes a best selling author, Denise joins the FBI, and Chad forms a charity for all the dead. The Dean knows it was Hester, but Hester says if she turns her in, she'll rat the Dean out for covering up bathtub girls murder and killing her ex-husband. So they agree to keep mum.
Meanwhile, the Chanels get sentenced to a mental asylum... and it turns out to be the best thing for them, they're finally happy. So it seems like a "happy" ending for everyone who survived. Though it does seem like a lot of people got pissed at the last 30 seconds, which some feel ruined the ending. Which, what the hell, its a homage to horror films. The red devil seemingly about to kill Chanel is an obvious ending! Like, did they think it was going to end on that up note? Its horror, a ton of horror movies end with the killer seemingly still alive, and a lot of times, about to kill the people who seemingly just survived the climax.
And we don't even see Chanel get stabbed. Like how many horror movies have something like that, only for the person to be perfectly fine in the sequel, the whole ending chalked up to ptsd or even ignored? So if they're worried about Chanel dying, she could be totally fine!
