TV commentary:
Scream Queens- Whatever, this show continues to crack me the hell up. But looks like we get some confirmation, or rather, disconfirmation. Dean Munsch isn't involved in the Red Devil business. But that's only because she uses the situation to murder her ex-husband who had left her for a former Kappa, whom she just framed for the murder.
But interesting, the rest of the Chanels ponder murdering original Chanel because they suspect she's the killer. And since they feel she's too rich and powerful to meet justice, their only hope is to murder her before she kills them. Lucky for Chanel, Chanel #2 visits her from the grave (or maybe its just a dream), warning her about their murderous intent, but to be the bigger person and reassure and protect them. They're only against her because they're scared, so being the leader she wants to be will earn her their true loyalty and respect.
And so she confronts them, but gets them on her side by catching the real murderers- who she thinks are Grace and Zayday, since all this started when they showed up.
Finding Carter- Heh, so Carter's boss is not willing to cross certain lines, but will turn a blind eye towards others. Like he's still letting Carter work there even though its incredibly illegal, and he has to know if Carter is really 17, all her friends that constantly drink in his bar are very likely to be 17 as well, so he's serving minors.
Anyways, Carter catches Ben messing with the credit card machine, and figures out his scam. She doesn't rat him out, but she does pretend to "catch" the phony device and warn her boss. So Ben retaliates by casually dropping by the house and telling Liz how she's so cool for letting Carter work at a bar. Heh, Liz is angry at first, but in the end, she lets Carter continue to work there since she figures if she fights, Carter will just do something else sneaky. Plus, she also secretly worked at a bar when she was 17. So part of her worry is that she doesn't want Carter to think waitressing is some really cool job that she should be for the rest of her life.
Also, Carter's boss thinks its one of the other waitresses who switched out the machine, so Carter tells him its Ben to save the other lady's job. But then Ben and her finally have a talk and he says he's doing this to save that girl Carter saw a few eps ago. So she begs her boss to not turn her brother in. And her boss acquiesces. But then he confronts Ben all, he owes him a big favor in the future, that he'll one day come to collect and he better help him out.
Other stuff, Taylor, Damon, and Gabe go to a college visit, wherein the show almost an incredibly dark turn. Taylor gets roofied by some frat asshole, and almost gets raped, but Gabe saves her. She thanks Gabe, and is all, he knows her so well, that anyone else would've assumed she was just fine, so if it weren't for him she would've been sexually assaulted. Which, okay, does she think Max wouldn't have worried if she had disappeared for a while? But yeah, she tells Gabe not to tell Max about all this, which I'm sure will lead to problems in the future.
Meanwhile, Liz also overhears Carter on the phone with David (who had been ducking her calls, I guess?) and finds out about that home visit. So, that's part of the reason she was trying to be all chill with Carter, because she and David have been lying to her. Heh, she hangs out with Max most of the ep, talking to him about her marriage and family woes (which is a little weird to be talking to your daughter's best friend and other daughter's boyfriend about) Meanwhile, Max is a little worried about Taylor going off to college and them drifting apart. So, the way these scenes were filmed, I was a little uncomfortable that the show might go a totally insane route and have something happen between Liz and Max, but I'm pretty sure my fears were unfounded.
