Finding Carter- Ugh, Carter, why do you continue to annoy me with your life choices!? So Carter wants to drop out of HS so she can continue on the glamorous life of a... waitress? Now, no offense to waiters/waitresses, because they work hard and often get treated like crap. But, that's the point. I don't think most people WANT to be in such a job, but if that's what pays the bills, what choice do they have?
But I digress, she's all school's not right for her, she's not an "academic" like Taylor, she learns differently than others. And I guess I have no conception of what that's like, because I was in the top 10th percentile (at least), and most of my friends are on that level. But to me its like, its frigging HS! Its not that hard! Like calculus, that's hard, its not for everyone. Algebra and geometry and trig, not so much. ojv('Man, its easy!')
So she wants to drop out, get her GED. David and Elizabeth are all, its just one more year, you can wait. Only, Carter is so behind, she'll have to repeat the year anyways. So now she's even more determined to quit, because one year was already an "eternity"! Since David and Lizzie would never sign off on that, she goes to Lori. Because Lori is the "cool" one. Also, we see why Carter prolly isn't the sharpest tool in the shed- Carter and Lori are talking about how 99.9% of parents would do this, and Lori says she's the "one percent". No wonder Carter sucks at math!
Of course, once her parents here about this, they flip, and rightfully say she can't pull this crap, where if David and Liz don't give her the answer she wants, she runs to Lori. Carter at first says that's not what she was trying to do, which, bullshit! That's exactly what she was doing. But at least she did eventually realize that was a mistake and tears up the form.
So her parents let her quit school to get her GED, but she has to help out around the house and get a job, not knowing she already has one. There's a brief moment where she gets fired because of a drunk Gabe, but then on her way to pick up her stuff or her last paycheck or something, she helps clean up the bar to show initiative and basically getting the guy to unfire her.
Too bad when Crash heard Elizabeth let her drop out, and she lost her job, he was hoping she'd move to Cali with him, as that's where his next posting is. However, Crash ends up letting go- she has to find herself just like he did. And if its meant to be, they'll somehow meet back again.
Oh, and we end the ep with Lori catching Carter at her new job, so we'll see what Lori does with this info.
Other stuff, Gabe continues to spiral out of control. Taylor tries to get Ben to look after him, and at first he acts like he's too cool for that. But then he sees that Gabe actually is pretty messed up, so he puts forth more of an effort. He also figures out Gabe is in love with Taylor. She tries to play it off, even lying to Max saying that Gabe in no way has feelings for her.
Agents of SHIELD- How Jack Shepard of her! So, Jemma's having trouble adjusting back to the real world. Her friends try their best to help her heal, but in the end Jemma troubles Bobbi by saying she needs to go back. But we'll have to wait until next week to see why.
Meanwhile, Hunter's trying to infiltrate Hydra by contacting an old friend. They get drunk, and his friend says he'll only get an intro by winning at some underground fighting thing. His opponent ends up being his old friend, who actually isn't all that friendly with Hunter and is pretty miffed at him. Hunter actually ends up possibly beating his former friend to death, securing the meet. And he does meet with that one lieutenant of Ward whom I thought Baron Von Strucker's son killed last ep, but I guess not.
Finally, Rosalind turns up the heat on Lincoln, putting his name out to law enforcement agencies and the media, so even Lincoln's former AA sponsor turns on him, not knowing what he is. Lincoln accidentally ends up killing him. Skye tries to bring him in. Too bad Rosalind strongarms Coulson to choosing either him or Skye. Obviously he chooses to give up Lincoln, shattering his trust. But then he gets away, so Rosalind tries to take Skye. So Coulson ends up trading himself for her. He's offering up his knowledge and stuff to Rosalind's people.
In the end, Skye, is pissed that they're going to be working with her now. Coulson says he didn't just do it to protect her. He says Rosalind isn't a bad guy, nor was Talbot, or the "real SHIELD". And he's tired of fighting other good guys when there's real threats out there. So he's hoping by cooperating, he can get these other folks to see things his way.
Scream Queens- Hmm, interesting development. For some reason one of the Red Devils seems to like Zayday, as they had let her go. Also, Gigi is totally working with the red devils, ordering one of them to kill "him". I'm surprised we're getting such reveals this early. I do wonder what her deal is?
