Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- Hey, I think its a pretty cute show- funny and charming. (I did not realize the main actress in this was the girl who did the "Eff me, Ray Bradbury" song) And you know how I'm a sucker for musical numbers- as I posted previously, I had entirely no interest in this show until I found out it was a musical show.
But yeah, even though the critics like it, I'm not sure it will do well. I mean, not everyone is a fan of musicals. Plus, even before the show came out, it sounds like a lot of people were up in arms over the name- some people felt the title, "crazy ex-girlfriend" perpetuates the stereotype of crazy ex-girlfriends. Others were all offended because they feel the name makes light of mental health issues.
Fargo- New season, totally new story. This takes place in 1979, with the only connection being Patrick Wilson playing the younger version of Keith Carridine's character, i.e. Molly's dad. Indeed, we even see a young Molly. The Mother from HIMYM plays her mom. She also has cancer, and I'm trying to remember if they mentioned last season if her mom was already dead and if it was when she was young.
Heh, the whole mess with Keiran Culkin's character in the diner, he was trying to get the judge to free up funds so the one guy could get a shipment of typewriters. Which I saw someone point out would've been quite unfortunate to hedge his bets on, because isn't that right before the home PC revolution?
But ha, what the hell was Kirsten Dunst's character thinking? I guess she was just hoping Rye was dead already and was going to try and clean up the mess when Landry went to bed? But he ended up having to finish Rye off and they put his body in the freezer til they figure out what to do next.
But yeah, looks like we're getting another mob war, with Captain Tigh's family (including Jean Smart and Michael from Burn Notice) vs some group Brad Garrett belongs to.
