Rick and Morty- The Adult Swim website finally cycled ep 1x8 back in rotation, so I'm totally caught up on the show now. I'm kinda amused that this of all episodes is the one I missed. So after Rick Potion #9 I was thinking, are they ever going to address the fact that Rick and Morty are no longer in their home universe? Because all the other eps hadn't. But this was the one ep that did!
But weird, so were the TV shows in this ep all improvised? Like they just did the voice work first, see where it led them, and then just animate what they had later?
Heh, this past ep, I saw someone give a really dark "what if?" scenario on tumblr. So in the end, Rick tries to kill himself with that weird laser disintegrator device, but he collapses in a drunken stupor and fails to die. But given this show establishes that there's a multiverse of infinite possibilities, there's universe out there where he succeeds. And he would've been turned into dust. And his family might not even realize it. And Beth will just think her dad ran away again since abandonment issues are on her mind. So they'll be thinking, "That asshole!" when he's really just dead.
