The Fosters- Finally! For real this time. Well, I suppose there could be a twist and it is a coincidence. So Stef shows Mike the pharmacy footage with the car owner guy all, "See! He must have something to do with this!" Mike's a little skeptical.. until AJ's grandma has a stroke and he takes him to visit. They bump into AJ's brother, and Mike tries to broker peace since the brother is still miffed at AJ for choosing Mike over him. Which is when he notices he got a ride from car owner guy. He takes a pen that the brother signed the guest book with and gives it to a friend to fast track it for prints.
I mean, it was pretty obvious if it wasn't AJ who was the driver, once they mentioned he had a brother, it would be him. So I guess they'll finally find out? Or like I said, maybe it will be a big twist and the brother has nothing to do with it.
But yeah, I guess the only really "good" thing that happens is that Brandon is able to play his piece himself thanks to a looper pedal Mat lends him (I know they were friends, but it was still weird for him to show up all of a sudden to support him when it seemed like the band was basically gone once Brandon went to Idylwild and Mat and Mariana broke up, but I guess they needed an excuse for him to be back so they can have drama for Mariana) and manages to win, because of course he would, he's the golden boy.
Anyways, for some reason Jenna and Monty come up for the competition because one of them has a friend who has a cabin up there, so they and Brandon have a place to stay so they didn't have to make the trip up the same day as the competition. And of course Monty and Lena get up there first and get drunk and talk, and Jenna doesn't like what she sees. She and Monty end up breaking up that night, and I guess in the argument it comes out that Monty is in love with someone else and that she kissed Lena. So Jenna reluctantly tells Stef who confronts Lena about it at home. Lena insists there's no affair going on, and it was a quick kiss that meant nothing, so she didn't tell Stef. So Stef is all, "If it really meant nothing, you wouldn't have kept it a secret."
As for the aforementioned Mat, he wants Mariana back, and then says the reason he didn't want to do it that night before he left was because he was nervous because he was a virgin. But he's all, now he's ready and they can lose their virginity together! So Mariana breaks the news that she slept with someone else while they were still together.
Oh, we finally find out why Carmen was lying about Rita hitting her. Callie's not letting it go, and even the other girls are suspicious since even though Carmen already got her GED, she's wanting to defer going to the army to finish up HS. Why, because she was feeling bad one day, and stole Brooke's meth stash and smoked it. Which is why the girls were arguing. So Brooke is all, if Carmen squeals, so will she. And the reason she's delaying going to the army is because she's worried about the drug testing, so she wants it totally out of her system before she finishes the application process.
Callie figures it out and confronts Carmen, and threatens to have Stef do a random drug test right now if she doesn't come clean. But Carmen threatens her right back, saying she'll reveal all the Brallie stuff. What Carmen doesn't know is that Callie got a recording of it. So while it does exonerate Rita, it also reveals stuff went on between Brandon and Callie. She debates what to do, but when it becomes clear Rita will be brought up on criminal charges, she sends the recording to Rita.
She tells Brandon what she did, since the moms will prolly be pissed at him because Callie won't be able to get adopted. And since they think its over, they end up doing it.
Oh, but heh, I was wondering, what is Callie going to do, is she going to have to live with some random new family since she can't stay at GU either? But then I forgot she has Robert. So, unlike in earlier seasons, its not the worst if she can't live with the Fosters. Its like, "Oh no, she'll have to live with her rich dad!"
