Finding Carter- Some interesting consequences of the mess that is the Wilsons lives. So, Taylor finds out about her dad's affair with Lori. Because apparently Carter just keeps a post coital shirtless pic of her dad just lying around. Ha, I like how Carter was all, "Do I have to explain this?" and Taylor is all, "Hell yes, you have to explain why you have a creepy shirtless pic of our dad!" So, she confronts her parents, so Grant knows now too.
But the most interesting development of this is, that David sits Taylor down to talk about it, and he explains he and Liz were having problems at the time, and it was easier for him to stray than deal with it. And Taylor realizes she's doing the same thing with Ofe. Not that that stops her from continuing on using Ofe like that.
And poor Grant, being invisible totally screwed up things with his little online gf. He randomly bumps into Reagan at the fair, where his sisters have abandoned him. Grant is having a fun time, until Reagan accidentally walks off without him and he loses track of her. So, when he finally does catch up with her, he blows up, because he's incredibly hurt that he can be invisible to her in real life. And so Reagan is sufficiently creeped out and won't answer his video chats.
And what a mess Liz and David's marriage is. Since Grant thought Liz and Kyle kissed, he made the date with his TA. So of course, when Hillary shows up, Liz is all, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander!" and goes running to Kyle. Only while she does seem to be pretty into making out with Kyle, David can't actually bring himself to get with Hillary.
I do like how the Carter thing with the SATs went. Lori kinda messed Carter up scholastically. Since she was always trying to be cool mom, she never cared about Carter's school work, so that stuff was never important to Carter. And now that she's 17, its kinda messed her up academically because she has no idea what to do with her life because she never thought about college. And she feels Lori did that on purpose, because if Carter went to college, she'd be away from her. But Liz reassures her not to put too much pressure on herself. If she bombs the SATs, its not the end of the world. She can take it again, and her family will be there for her for whatever life decision she makes.
As for the non-Wilsons. Bird and Max run into money issues, with Bird flaking on her half of the bills because she spends all her money on parties. So Max is all, you don't have to buy people's loyalty. Which hurts Bird, because, that's kinda her big fear. But, he reassures her that that's not the case, she's cool, and even if she didn't buy things for people and cover food and booze and all that, people would still like her.
Speaking of Max, since they have bills to pay, he takes a job from Crash since Crash didn't want to bail on Carter since she was freaking out about the SAT stuff. Its to wait at the garage for a car to be dropped off. Anyways, when the car actually gets there, Max realizes its totally sketch, and when the guy leaves, he finds a bunch of coke in the car. Max is pretty pissed, thinking Crash knew and was trying to pawn the danger off on him, but its obvious he didn't know.
Which is prolly bad for Crash, since he did seem to be turning his life around, largely because of the help of his uncle, whom he thought was taking him on the straight and narrow. Finding out his uncle is a crooked drug dealer might cause him to devolve.
Oh, and there's a silly subplot where Gabe is apparently trying to bang the new guidance counselor, since I guess since Carter's with Crash and Taylor's no longer interested in him and they're trying to make things all nebulous with Max and Bird to confuse Taylor, they have nothing else for Gabe to do?
