TV commentary:

Flash- Heh, Barry, you idiot! It takes a few minutes for Barry to realize he's reliving the past, and even then, he seems skeptical. After finishing a few peoples sentences for them, Dr Wells figures out that Barry jumped from the future to the past, and warns Barry not to change anything and disturb the time continuum, lest he invite disaster. Barry tries to tell Harrison that he can avert a potential disaster and save lives, but Dr Wells doesn't want to learn about the future and thus cause it to change because he has new knowledge.

Barry tries to listen, but then at the police station, remembers what will happen to Singh, and Joe, and the city, and goes, "Eff it" and immediately captures the Weather Wizard. Needless to say, Dr Wells is kinda pissed, and again, Barry tries to defend himself, saying it was for a good cause, but Harrison argues that for some reason time wants to even out. He may have averted one disaster, but it may change things and cause a different, worse disaster.

Indeed, cut to Cold and Heatwave being captured by some mafiosos for still being in the city. But they were in no real danger, even without their guns, and they easily break their bonds and kill the mobsters. They leave one alive to tell the others that the city is theirs now.

Anyways, with Weather Wizard captured, Cisco no longer has an excuse to not go to his brother's b-day, so he and Caitlin go. And, his family is kinda awful. They fawn all over his brother Dante, all, "Our son, the talented pianist, eff this loser Cisco!" Like Cisco is a freaking genius engineer, its not like he's some loser! His brother is even throwing him shade, all, "You still work at STAR labs? Can't get another job, eh?" Its not like he's a freaking janitor or something, he's doing big science stuff! He's a freaking genius!

Meanwhile, Barry and Linda have an amicable breakup this time, because Linda can see he's in love with someone else, Iris. She tells Barry to go get her. But that's for later. For now, he meets up with Cisco, who's feeling all shitty after the shitty party with his shitty family. Things are looking up though, because a hot chick totally picks Cisco up! Cisco thinks his luck has changed!

Only, the girl is Lisa, Cpt Cold's sister. And Cold and his gang have kidnapped Dante to force Cisco to make them new weapons. And since Cold is no dummy, he can tell if Cisco tries to sabotage them. Since they're three strong now, Cisco makes a weapon for Lisa, a gold gun, encasing people in molten gold, presumably killing them. (which is a little goofy. And expensive! Why rob places if you can just create gold!?)

Alas, no one realizes Cisco is missing, so they're going on with their day as normal. Barry has a lunch date where he confesses his love to Iris again, thinking they'll be together now since she confessed her feelings to him in the original time line. But this time, she's all, "what the shit, I'm with Eddie!" and gets mad at him doing this to her again, making her seem like the bad guy for rejecting him.

So, he's feeling sad when he goes to confront Cold and his gang at a mob casino. He manages to subdue Lisa, but Cold reveals he has Cisco hostage. So, Flash has no choice but to let them go. Then, when the cops show up later, and Barry's there in his capacity as forensic tech, Eddie slugs him for what creeping on Iris.

Back at Cold's hideout, Dante and Cisco have a talk where Dante confesses he was always jealous of Cisco, because he followed his dream and all that jazz. Its kinda funny, because usually you have the person who went the practical, academic route, being jealous of the artsy one doing what they love. But Cisco is doing what he loves, and no offense to artists, he's doing things that could literally change the world. Dante basically says their parents are fucking morons for not realizing how much talent Cisco actually has.

In any case, Dante says he's had enough sitting around, and tries to escape, but gets beaten down by Heatwave. And then Cold, pissed off about Flash's interference, flash freezes Dante's hands and threatens to kill him if Cisco doesn't reveal who Flash is.

So he does! And he tells the gang and resolves to quit for his weakness. But Barry is cool and understanding and knows Cisco had no choice. Still Cisco is feeling shitty and is insistent on leaving, but heh, this actually ends up leading to a resolution of the situation from the previous timeline with Cisco finding out Harrison is evil. To stop Cisco from leaving, Harrison tells Cisco he's an integral of the team and he's like a son to him. So, he basically guarantees Cisco's loyalty and ensures he'll stop looking into him (not that he knew Cisco was!)

Anyways, they do realize Cold's casino attack was a ruse, and he did that to trigger them moving all the money, which they attempt to hit. But Barry grabs Cold and basically is all, "So you know me!" and Snart tells Barry if he doesn't let him go, he'll release his identity to the public. Barry resolves it in a little too convenient manner, but whatever- Barry is all, he'll lay off him if he promises not to kill anymore people. Since Cold admits he's just doing all this for the thrill of it, Barry challenges him to be a crook and do his schemes in a way that doesn't hurt people. Because if he does, Barry doesn't care if Cold reveals who he is, he can and will take him down. So I guess they come to a truce?

With all that done, Barry goes to apologize to Iris, but when Eddie starts walking towards him all menacingly, he thinks Eddie is going to be all, "Stay away from my woman!" But Eddie hugs him, much to Barry's surprise. Iris also apologizes, all we're so sorry! And he's confused, until Caitlin is all, he's not right in the head since being struck by lightning, and he's sick and prone to outbursts of affection and stuff like that. So, things are good with him and Eddie and Iris too. (Heh, he's still sans any gf now!)

Anyways, since Iris' mentor didn't get a chance to talk to her about Dr Wells and start that whole line of investigating, he's working on it alone. So, Wells can just kill him and destroy the evidence and that's that, no loose ends. Only, when Barry sees the reporter guy is missing, he immediately realizes that Wells is behind it and is a bad guy.
