Castle- Hmm, so that's taken care of. Kate finally got Senator Bracken last year, I guess it was finally time to take down 3XK. Didn't they basically just execute him though? I mean, Castle's plan involved purposely getting caught in order to finally get a confession out of 3XK and hopefully find Kate. But that also meant he was in danger, since 3XK had a gun on him. So, I'm not sure if they could risk just wounding 3XK. But Castle did kinda engineer the situation so they'd have no choice but to shoot him.
Of course, the guy was a notorious serial killer white male who had kidnapped a cop, I doubt anyone is going to press the issue.
Better Call Saul- Argh, one thing that sucks about this show is, since I am watching the eps as they come out, its back to waiting a week for what happens, as opposed to watching Breaking Bad eps in clumps off Netflix, with only the last season having to patiently wait a week for the next ep. Though I suppose its good that I do eagerly await the next ep. I'm kinda curious if this will all take place in the past, eventually catching up to Breaking Bad. Or will they catch up even before the end, and have seasons that take place post Breaking Bad? So, we get some more hints into Jimmy/Saul's past- apparently he was in jail at one point, in big trouble and he asks his brother for help to get him out of it. He promises to stop being a loser ne'r do well if he gets off. Which may explain his loyalty to his crazy brother and his attempts to sometimes do the right thing.
Anyways, he drunkendly calls his special lady friend, saying stuff like the Kettlemans need to be careful, since their embezzlement is on the news, and people might come after them for the money. Kim gets ultra serious, and asks him why he would say something so dark. Jimmy tries to play it off as him just being weird and drunk. But, he ends up calling and warning the Kettlemans (which plays out hilariously). And sure enough, Nacho is outside with a van.
The next day, it seems like Nacho did something to them, since the house seems ransacked. Again, Kim is suspicious since he showed up for a client that's not even his, given what he said the night before- he said they should wach out and then something happens to them? He keeps trying to call Nacho, who doesn't answer. And then he sees some suspicious types approach. He tries to flee, and eventually finds out they're cops. Jimmy says he's just Nacho's lawyer.
And so they have a talk, and its bad. Jimmy says he should fess up, but Nacho didn't do anything- he cased the place, sure, and then left. Next thing he knows, the cops are arresting him because someone saw his van in the neighborhood. So he thinks Jimmy set him up. Jimmy tries to assure Nacho he didn't. But the cops are going to keep pressing him, and will eventually figure out some of his other criminal activities. And if so, he's going to lay the blame for this mess on Jimmy.
So, he asks to see the crime scene, and Kim agrees, hoping seeing it will cause Jimmy to have a crisis of conscience and tell them what he knows. But, it allows Jimmy to figure out the Kettlemans faked the kidnapping to flee. He eventually tells Kim all this, hoping to get her to convince the police that the Kettlemans just secretly ran away. But she has no way to do that.
During all this, he's gotten into more arguments with Mike, which eventually leads to a confrontation where Mike easily subdues him. So, the cops intervene and want Mike to press charges for assault to pressure Jimmy into ratting out Nacho. But Mike heard what's going on and believes Jimmy, and interestingly enough, he gets pissed when the cops are all, "Hey, man do us a solid" to Mike. We knew Mike used to be a cop, I don't think we have any details on how he stopped being a cop, other than his career ended "dramatically". So did he get effed over by his fellow cops back in Philly, which is why them asking him to do them a favor irked him?
Anyways, so Jimmy is free to go, and Jimmy thanks him, and Mike tells him that they prolly didn't flee the country, they're prolly close to home. And so Jimmy goes back to their house, and seeing a tent sticker on the back of their wagon, figures they went hiking from their back yard.
Sure enough, he finds them, telling I presume Kim (since he threatened to call the cops on them later when he actually confronts them) that he'll have them back in the house in a jif. He scuffles over a bag with the wife, and it rips open, revealing all the embezzled cash. And it end there! Dammit! Wonder how this is going to play out? Is he going to take a bribe to keep quiet on the proof of the embezzlement? And given he saw the cash, there's now for sure evidence of their misdeeds. Which will obviously screw over Kim's case.
