Justified- Its amusing how many characters on this show manage to be incredibly menacing with just words. Like Markham is scary as frickin shit, even talking in that affable manner. Same with Katherine, with her fake sweetness.
But I guess this show is like a modern day wild west. Like when Raylan and Tim went to speak to Loretta and Walker was there. Raylan tells Loretta to step to the side, Tim and Raylan with their hands on their guns, for a second there I thought Walker really was going to try and draw on them!
How old is Loretta supposed to be? I don't recall how much time has passed on this show, but it was totally weird she's all, "Times like this, I need a drink!" all matter of factly. Like I don't even think she's supposed to be 16 yet, unless they did a time jump! And already drinking casually! I mean, it would be one thing if it was like typical teenage social drinking. But she's at home alone! Of course, it may also have been to poison Walker Mags Bennett style. But Markham knew what was up and had her test the drink first before he took a sip.
But be serious though, I don't think she's in a position to poison him even if she wanted to! He's an unknown entity, and a big name. And Walker was his #2, no way she could poison either of them without it looking suspicious as hell, even if it was an untraceable poison. But she's bold, she was telling Markham to fuck off even before Raylan threw his weight behind her.
And we do find out Markham's end game. Seems like he's in the know, that Kentucky is going to legalize pot, and he wants to buy up all this land to grow weed. Which is very bad for Ava- she's already freaking out because Katherine is starting to be suspicious of her. Her last out was for Boyd to take the money and they would hopefully just run far far away. But now that Boyd knows Markham's end game, he wants to do that too, to stay in Harlan. So she is truly effed.
And ha, I figured Jake Busey was going to play an ongoing role, didn't expect him to blow up pretty quickly after he was introduced. Yes, he's kinda nuts, but what moron makes sure the other people around don't have cells with which to accidentally blow him up, and forgets to not have his own damn cellphone on him?
NCIS- Ooh, an interesting look into Tony's past. I forgot part of his backstory included him playing college basketball. And now we see why. So, he was enrolled in this military school, and being the mouthy smart-ass he is, ran afoul of the local bullies on the "Honor Guard". Basically bullies legitimized by the school to mete out "justice" for breaking the rules or not pulling their weight. Nevermind that they would find any infraction they could so they could bully.
But, he had a teacher looking out for him, the basketball coach who yanked him on the team to protect him from the Honor Guard, as the basketball players were off limits. Which was good for Tony, but guess if you weren't on the honor guard, or an athlete, you were effed.
Mysterious though, Gibbs has dinner with Apollo, which was supposed to be a friendly dinner so Bishop and her husband could socialize with the team more. But Bishop and Tony were investigating, and Mcgee ducked out when he saw it was just going to be Gibb's and Ellie's husband. But that was good for Gibbs, because it sounds like he was asking Apollo for help on some intel on what's his name who's after Gibbs.
