Backstrom- Just another crime procedural with a brilliant but assholish main character, with a group of misfits helping him out.Ida know, I thought it was an unexpected twist they had there at the end. I actually thought it was over. Didn't even think about the girlfriend running a scam and getting the victim killed.
And I kinda liked the whole, if kinda cute cop girl didn't break that one guy's finger earlier, he possibly would've totally killed Backstrom and he recognized that bit of fortuitousness. Though, what the hell, he tosses the guy's piece into the water because he was worried people would think it was a bad shoot, the team muscle is all, "Oh, don't worry, you were well within your rights to shoot him in self defense!" Sure, he acted correctly in regards to protecting himself. But shouldn't the guy be disturbed that Backstrom's first instinct was to cover things up?
Elementary- Huh, didn't see that coming. So, Kitty's tormenter is Watson's new boss? Is that one of life's weird coincidences or an intentional occurrence? Like, did he court Watson for the job, knowing she knew Kitty, and it was all part of his plan? Or was it just dumb luck that Watson's resume got to him, and he was honestly hiring her for her services for his company, then figured out she knew the "one who got away"?
Like they initially thought he finally figured out Kitty was in America, and followed her, dumping the body to taunt her. But since he's a CEO of a major pharmaceutical company, he was in NY this whole time. I mean, the body had to always have been a taunt, right, because there's no reason to just sloppily leave a body out there if not to send a message to Kitty. But why now?
