Selfie- Apologies to my co-workers, but I'm sorry, a karaoke party for the end of year Holidays would be freakin' awesome. Like there's some sort of potluck luncheon today, and I'm like, "sorry, no thanks, we're understaffed in the NOC right now anyways". But if there was like karaoke, you couldn't keep me away!
But G-D it, every new ep of this show, it pisses me off more and more that it's been canceled. This was like my favoritest ep of the show yet, because not only does it have the cast singing karaoke, its got heartbreaking shippy stuff.
So, Eliza spills her feelings to Henry, that she loves him. He needs time to think, because he's cautious and overthinking like that. He resolves to choose her, but then he sees her ex and assumes she only thinks she's in love with him and is just secretly sabotaging her relationship because she's cared of commitment.
So he tells her that, and she lets him know he must me the biggest, blindest idiot out there, because their feelings for each other are obvious. (Also, she's Karen Gillan, G-D, how could you be so stupid! Its worth it!) She tells him he's the real chicken, sticking with something he thinks seems safe instead of taking the plunge with her.
And whoops, Julia overheard all that. When Eliza seems him later that night, she assumes that he and Julia broke up and ran off in a huff and he's there because he chooses her. But nope, he says Julia is waiting downstairs, and this can't happen. Eliza is crushed, sings a hauntingly beautiful version of Chandelier. I didn't like until she sang it, like I never knew those were the words. And its so apt to the situation.
She reverts back to her party girl ways, and has meaningless sex with her ex. And it turns out Henry didn't go to Julia, he just sat in the bar doing nothing. WHAT THE EFF, JERK-OFF?!! In the end, when its just him and the boss man, the boss says he never sang, which is mandatory. So, he sings Cat Stevens' "Wild World".
ARGH!!! Actually, I can deal with ABC canceling the show, since this whole thing works out more as a long rom-com movie than a series, but I'm guessing the show will end unresolved?! Frickin frick-frick.
