The Originals- Frickin, frick that was a stressful episode. I mean, it started all happy, with Klaus, Beks, Elijah, Hayley, and baby Hope having a sweet and lovely and incredibly adorable holiday times. But then its back to business, with them cooking up a plan to have Rebekah accept Esther's offer, but only to get close enough to kill her.
But, it entails getting Kol-eb and Davina's help. Davina and Caleb secretly cast an interference spell to prevent Esther from transferring Rebekah to Cami (or at the very least send Rebekah to a different body Caleb set up as a plan b) or Esther to body jump herself. Things obviously don't go as plan, as Caleb had to bring the white oak stake to Esther to demonstrate his loyalty, and Rebekah freaks when Esther has it out, ready to destroy her body after the transfer. So, Klaus shows up and kills Esther (more on that later) and its chaos and both Cami and the Bekster collapse.
Cami's fine, but Rebekah doesn't stir. Which is a convenient way to let Claire Holt go without pissing off the fans and leave it open for her to return. So what happened? Turns out Kol purposely screwed things up (with respect to the spell) to get Rebekah back for betraying him way back in 1914, which is when he was last daggered. There was a big ass diamond he needed to complete some spell, I guess in the web series? He steals it, but Marcel and Klaus are onto him, and they take the diamond, and lock Mary Alice Claire and Astrid in the house... forever.
Apparently, this house became a prison for witches. So, anyways Kol had tried to get the diamond back, and tried to get Beks to help him, but she tattled on him and he got daggered. So, to get her back, he actually sent her spirit into a witch trapped in the house (which, ooh, from the previews, looks like Harvest Girl Cassie is there, good to see her coming back!). So the other brothers have no idea what happened to their sister.
Oh, and Esther doesn't die, yet. Turns out, when Rebekah showed up to make a deal with her mom, Kol distracted Esther long enough for Rebekah to spike her drink with her blood. As such, when Klaus killed her, she died with vampire blood in her veins. So Klaus gives her a choice, refuse the transition and die, or become a vampire. Esther is quite upset, but we don't see what she chooses.
Other stuff, she had made a deal with Mikael, who broke out Finncent. And Hayley reveals her plan to marry Jackson to Elijah, but they end up screwing.
Major Crimes- Well, well! Heh, so Flynn's daughter Nicole (played by Torrey Devitto!) shows up wanting to ask Sharon advice on how to date a coworker they're above. So Sharon's all "What the what now?" Andy later tells Sharon he may have misrepresented their relationship to his family. So, Sharon is all, this big family outing we're going to have, you're going to tell everyone we're just friends.
Andy hems and haws, but fesses up, and Nicole is miffed. Well, until Rusty reveals that Sharon and Andy go out a bunch. He lists all the stuff they do together, and Nicole and Rusty share a laugh as their parents are dating and don't even know it.
