Vampire Diaries- Wow, the MF gang are a bunch of dicks! And piss poor friends to Bonnie. This is total BS! So turns out Sarah Salvatore isn't Sarah Salvatore. She's some orphan girl whom the real Sarah once met- Stefan had known about the real Sarah from the beginning and made sure she got adopted by a nice family and had been looking out for her all her life. The real Sarah is at Duke. Anyways, fake Sarah, Monique, met real Sarah at sleepaway camp, heard Sarah's story about being adopted and not caring to meet her birth family, so she decided to find them and make their her own, passing herself off as Sarah.
Stefan's been hiding her existence, because he didn't want Damon to deal with the guilt of killing her parents, and not wanting enemies to be able to use her against him. Stefan compels her to forget all about Sarah and meeting them. Unfortunately, Enzo catches up with them, and being suspicious that Stefan claims she's just a con artist and trying to send her on her way, thinks she knows something, otherwise why would Stefan spend more time talking to her than it would actually take to call her an effin liar and sending her off.
So, he makes Stefan an ultimatum, tell his secret, or he'll kill Sarah. Stefan's protecting his real family, so Enzo kills fake Sarah, to Matty's horror. Of course, Matt doesn't know why Stefan is being secretive, and its still effed up that Stefan would allow anyone, even a stranger, to get killed. So Matt's turning anti-vampire. I mean, if he didn't want Enzo finding out, then why not kill Enzo, rather than letting Enzo kill Sarah? Matt's convinced that mere humans mean less to the vampires than other vampires.
In the end, he goes to Jeremy, planning to hunt Enzo. Jeremy himself is pissed because the plan to rescue Bonnie failed. Or maybe pissed isn't the right word? Frustrated and resigned? Elena told Jeremy about Bonnie being alive and going to rescue her- Alaric stole the Ascendant from Jo pretty quick, and Damon compelled him to forget, and then Liv cast a spell to send them to the prison for 8 hours to get Bonnie. but he's skeptical. He was sure something would go wrong at the last minute, and sure enough, it did.
I mean, we knew Bonnie was stuck on the other side of the country, but as luck would have it, she would arrive in MF just in time. Elena and Damon got to talk to her over the phone and it seemed all was good. Unfortunately, Kai had already gotten out, so Tyler made Liv pull Damon and Elena back out early, totally screwing Bonnie over.
Also, Jo took Alaric over the border to prove Damon compelled him, so he's pissed. So pissed he doesn't even hear Damon out that stealing the ascendant didn't matter in terms of Kai getting out, Kai was already sprung.
But yeah, Tyler and Alaric are kinda dicks. Yes, they're protecting these girls they like, but who've they've only known for a few months?! Alaric was all, "Oh, rescuing Bonnie wasn't off the table, we could've figured another way!" Did he remember Bonnie, someone he's known longer and should be considered a friend, was trapped with a psycho. He was fine with her stuck with a madman just to keep the chick he just started dating alive?
Same with Tyler. They had 1 hour left! Yes, Kai was out and attacked Liv, but they got away. It was risky, but he couldn't even wait one hour for his longtime friend, one who sacrificed herself so he could live last year?!!
Its bullshit, because Bonnie did so much shit for these ungrateful assholes, but they can't even take any risks to try and save her?
And ha, Elena's self centered. But Damon does call her on it. When she hears Damon compelled Alaric to steal the Ascendant (which gets destroyed in a confrontation between Delena and Kai near the end of the ep), she's livid. She assumes Damon's all, do anything for her in spite of everyone else, that Bonnie's just this trophy he can use to win Elena back all, "Oh, I got your best friend back, love me!"
Damon sets her straight that unlike the rest of these dicks, he wants to bring Bonnie back and will do whatever it takes to get her back. Heh, I actually would like to see a Bamon-Delena triangle just to see Everyone loves Elena be jealous for once that she's not the center of attention. After all, its the first time Damon is willing to do whatever it takes, eff everything else for someone besides herself or his brother.
But yeah, in this way even Jeremy is a dick. He supposedly loves Bonnie, but he's just given up. All, "it won't work out anyways, something will happen to screw it up!" He doesn't bother trying to do something to rescue her because they won't succeed. Not with that attitude! And he has the nerve to be a dick about it when it doesn't work. Elena breaks it to him, "And he's all, let me guess, it didn't work? Oh, and Damon is just fine!" What does that have to do with anything! Its not like they lost Bonnie because Elena had to choose between her and Damon and chose the latter. And at least Damon is trying, you ungrateful little shit.
Whatever, if Bonnie doesn't come back soon, that's effed up. She gives so much to friends and is constantly effed over, you can't dump on a character this much, show!
